This last 24 hours has been a spanner in the works.

Maxwell likely to play just the 1 game, Aaron Hardie unlikely to play Round 1, still holding onto the view that Matt Shorts price goes down before it goes up. Still unknowns about the test players unlikely to get into the test team eg Beau Webster and Josh Inglis. Leaning towards the double round 2 in getting a Perth or Adelaide player.

Saw a bit of Josh Brown in the T10 league, he looks a bit out of form for my liking.

Stoinis and Harper are going to ruin my BBL season again this year, one can just see it based on the practice match alone.

Im fading Stoinis now. He will get captaincy gig, but he wont be doing any bowling. I think given the workload , he will at best get an over or two, and his bowling is non-threatening under Aussie conditions. If your picking him , your picking him purely on his batting ability.

I do agree somewhat that this is what the Gades XI will be next Monday from Ky Broomes youtube:

The question for me will be how the overs are distributed.

4 overs for : Zampa, Fergus O'Neill and Tom Rogers
that leaves 8 overs , with 2 players getting 3 overs between: Sutherland, Hassan Khan and Kane Richardson. My gut feeling is telling me Sutho will get 2 overs based on todays game. The reason why this is important is you need a minimum 3 overs in order to get bonus points for economy rate. SCG is a ground you can concede under 8 an over.

Predicted team for BBL XI for the Stars Game 1 from Insight BBL Youtube:

Hamish McKenzie is the bolter. Beau Webster is the one to keep an eye out on.

Insight BBL says McKenzie will get his 4 overs.

And I reckon there is a chance McKenzie has a chance of batting higher than Paris and Steketee .

I didnt have Siefert as opening but if he gets that, Ill be rubbing my hands (from Insight BBL Youtube):

Im not sold on Hassan Khan though. Im not sold he will get his 4 overs. Probably more likely 3 overs, or will split overs with Sutherland 2 each.

Might have Stoinis in the Flex for rd 1

Who from Renegades is a viable Captain for Rd1?
Seifert??
Or a bowler?

Pray Webster gets released and VC locked in game 1 and no Renegades Captain reqd

Josh Brown should be selected at 100%.

He can go big therefore his price can rise quick. If he low scores, then you still have 11 players that can score for you. The fact that you have 12 and 11 can score means you can put in these hit and miss players.

All fit that description

How many is too many?

Insight mention for Stars using the VC-C loop

Stars: Tom Curran, Beau Webster or Stoinis

Renegades (if doing the C ): Zampa, O'Neill or Rogers. Im pretty sure thats what I heard.

The clip makes some good mention also of how to pick your team , based on the toss for Perth v Stars.

The Renegades top 5 in terms of batting looks pretty solid this season.

To be fair to Brown, he did score well in the Final there last season. 73 points against Sixers in the Grand Final. And he also scored a ton in another final. So in that way, your getting Josh Brown for a discounted price- as finals weren't included.

If you fade Jake Fraser-McGurk in Round 1 and he happens to not do well, you could be set to do very well in the tournament, if he starts with a stutter. Currently he has 45.6% ownership, compared to Josh Brown (17.1% ownership) and Siefert (12% ownership).
