Only a few days away but there's no thread here yet.

In Aus daylight time (Sunday): Early prelims 10:30am | Prelims midday | Main card 2pm

Pereira carrying this organisation, I hope they are paying him closer to his fair value than is typical with the UFC.

The Gaethje fight will obviously be worth tuning in for as well.

He is 3-3 since beating the hell out of Ferguson in May of 2020, which is almost half a decade ago now.

The three losses were all to big names: Khabib, Oliveira, Holloway.

At 36yo in a weightclass more suited for youngsters, you'd think that any fight from this point forward may be his last.

I reckon the plan is that Pereira wins and they do him v Jon Jones, Jones won't fight Aspinall but Pereira is a way better match up for him and the biggest star they have currently, makes sense.

Very disappointed about the Hooker injury, that would have been pure violence. Either way the card is kind of shallow but I'll still be watching

Ankalaev like to stand despite his strong wrestling. Will he try to stand with Poatan or do what he should and go straight to his wrestling advantage?

He does like a finish.

Hard to say. One one hand, he'll have seen the success Rountree had and consider himself the better striker. On the other, he was basically 50/50 with Jan, who himself lost a very tight decision (I had it for Jan) to Pereira in 3-rounder but did so mixing in grappling quite well. I think he has to mix the wrestling in, but he also needs to prove to Poatan early on that he is a threat on the feet.

Not an amazing card but looking forward to a few more here. The Gaethje/Fiziev rematch is just as interesting to me as the Hooker fight was. Keen to see how Jalin Turner bounces back from his should-have-won loss to Moicano, and I think "King" Green may be in for a rough night against Ruffy.

Did Rountree have success? He pretty much was a human punching bag after round 1. His only real openings came cause Alex kept going for that high kick and leaving himself open, can't see him being that careless on the feet against Ank

Prelims and early prelims are thin as.

The womens fight on the ppv is a momentum killer. I'd swap its position with the Blaydes fight.
Prelims and early prelims are what they are normally. Bruno Ferreira is a great fight and Curtis blades is on the prelims. Wouldn't call that a thin prelim compared to a lot of cards.

I'm not gonna argue. I'm right, you're wrong. Enough said 🙂

Edit: Blaydes off card due to illness.
