Would work well down back if we had a solid 2nd KPD with Weitering there. His intercepting work is solid but his defensive ability vs the big KPFs is sub par. Best as a roaming 3rd tall who can impact in the air and create some run and rebound.

Forward craft is non existent unfortunately. Still capable of a few great marks a here or there due to his athletic gifts but that's about it.

Played most of his juniors down back. Shifted on ball for a bit and looked good but then did his ACL a few games later.

At AFL level we've never seen him play minutes there.

Probably the ACL cruelled the speed he would need and at Carlton he is not getting a shot there.

I can recall we played him there for a couple quarters once and he looked alright, I just remember him spinning out of a tackle and bursting through a pack before kicking it along the ground lol

But yes, we have hardly seen him play any minutes there

No he's not far from it. He is 21 and kicked same amount of goals as Betts same games played. Some supporters expect too much.. he's had a solid year played all games, developed some tricks in different positions.. but never wastes the ball.
