Premiership FF swung back to blanket a Coleman medallist. Talk about a GOAT swingman

I'm thinking ruck rover for Frampton. We usually just nominate the biggest bloke to nullify Cripps, and whilst it never works perhaps it's because we've never gone with anyone as big as Frampton.

I reckon put Bobby in the ruck and get Billy to throw him up in the air

McKay played a full game in a VFL practice match, do you think they will play him off a 4 day break?
VFL practice match is akin to match sim at training so I don’t think it’s a barrier to him playing. That said I don’t think they’ll pull the trigger this week. Personally they’re not that far off and will back themselves with the mix that almost got it done last week. Their form feels very Buckley era Bravingwood to me where they drop the easy one and then give the tough ones a big shake. The only result that would surprise me is a blowout either way.

I was thinking the same the other night. Like the Pies from a few eras. They go hard and they're good in a contest, but just have no class to finish. They'll stay in games and will win some where they use it better than their par, but their par isn't good enough.

Surely they will keep Kemp in their forward line after a 5 goal haul against Footscary. (deliberate)
So, they will have three talls: Curnow, McKay and Kemp in F50, assuming they risk McKay.
Therefore, we will need another tall in defence- Frampton?

I believe we should retain Cox so that he and Darcy can combine to run TDK into the ground. Also, Cox gives us a structure across the whole field that we really need.

So I think one of Membrey, McStay and Checkers doesn't play

Checkers and mcstay are best 22 every day of the week

Going by training, all three were in the A team. We'll know for sure in Tues session. Cox was in the B team. Seems like a straight swap. Cox for checkers.
Blues only have 1 ruck so we dont need another.

Only two changes.
Cox for checkers
Frampton for Reef.

P.S. I hope we have a plan for curbing TDK. He’s playing unbelievable footy ATM.
That is why Cox needs to stay in the 22. If they play Curnow, Kemp and Mckay, they don't have an extra runner.
My only question is who will be the sub, because I want Long to play a full game to nullify Cripps.
This would be a great challenge and opportunity for him, and he looks capable.
I'm thinking either Beau or Lippa as the sub.

The priority against Carlton is nullifying and tiring TDK which is best done with 2 Rucks.
Using Cox instead of McStay also gives us first use advantage if Silvangi is used while TDK is resting.
The “upgrade forward line” is starved of opportunity unless TDK is nullified.
TDK has been plenty dominant so far this season for no results. Do you rate our midfield that lowly?
