Was an awesome win but Xerri destroyed TDK in the ruck. Was at the game and beat him often. Fortunately our mids had laser focus today.
All round brutality by us though.

Norf board not happy with umps, players, coach, board, recruiting & AFL house…. Theyve resigned themselves to the fact that the AFL are going to force them to merge/be part of a Tasmanian relocation.
Most of this I posted but hey I'll go again cause why not.
I know people will say was just North. But like I said it was just Richmond. A game doesn't become a training drill until you make it that way.
The fact we put 4 quarters together and lifted whenever they came at us was good to see. Reality is for me our pressure won that game and they couldn't cope. We still left some goals on the table and can grow in our execution but it's a big step forward for us.
I honestly don't think anyone had a poor game so a few special mentions.
Lewis Young, often cops it. But he played a very good game and filled his role well. He is doing fine on the ruck and getting his body in good positions to assist or impact the contest. We need to stop handballing to him expecting him to hit targets in play. But a really good game.
Will White I love. He plays with intent. Hunts the ball and loves a tackle. He is very clean with the ball and you can see his confidence is growing. He will learn he has a little more time than he currently thinks with the ball in hand but we have a heap to work with.
Matt Carroll I mean this as an absolute compliment to both men but he might be an upgrade on Newman. His football IQ and ball use is next level. His delivery inside 50 is an absolute need for us.
Small forwards generally we had an unheard of amount of inside 50 tackles to the point the North defence was rattled to the point they couldn't function. Williams, Motlop, Fog and White were great inside 50 with pressure.

Yes we did, but Xerri was generally first the ball. The mids did a fantastic job today, but I don’t think TDK had a massive game, imo.

I have been as gloomy as anyone, passmark.
But at the back of my mind has been the comments Mitchell made at the end of the Hawthorn game. He obviously considered it a quality contest. Maybe… just maybe… we have been better than we have looked?
