The difference between his best and worst is so massive. When at his best he's actually such an asset for us, wins the ball breaks lines etc, but he's out of form. Probably needs a big game today to stay in the side, fingers crossed.

I love Jones at his best. He's quick, tough, wins contested ball and is a fairly neat user of the footy. Unfortunately we only get that version of him 15% of the time. The rest of the time he tries to do too much, gets caught HTB, flubs kicks under pressure (which he has invited by trying to do too much) and goes missing for long periods of the game.

I don't think he's suddenly going to find consistency at 30 years old after 150 games. He pulled a good month or so out of his arse at the end of last season to get another contract, and he started this season well but he's been back to his worst since then.

Hes a lot more quicker and agile than Heath tho, which is one reason they may have chosen Keeler over Heath.

True, but I'd rather a player who can hold their ground and compete rather than one who gets brushed aside and has to chase.

We have Higgins, Collard, Hall and Owens who can harass at ground level. That's no good if we can't bring it to ground.

Yeah I would have liked to see Heath come in. Just a reason they may have chosen Keeler over him.

He’s very serviceable his biggest asset is his aggression and explosive traits which what we lack in midfield I don’t agree with this shit attitude towards jones

He can be "very serviceable" sometimes & at the end of last season he was terrific. But his aggression is not always an asset & just as often, if not more, works to his & the teams detriment.

Nah - I think its more like you guys have jumped the gun and gone straight to correlation/causation without considering coincidence.

Coincidence > Correlation > Causation.

Beating Port when Keeler was subbed out at half time with 3 possessions and 34 metres gained means we are well and truly still in the coincidence folder.

We all get what you're saying, but your understanding of correlation isn't correct.

Correlation can occur by coincidence, which is what you're saying. Or it can be by causation. Being coincidental doesn't mean that correlation isn't present.

I don't think anyone is suggesting Keeler wins us games. His presence arguably helps with structure and matchups. We built our lead vs Port when he was still in the game.

It's fine to not agree that him playing helps in that way, but the correlation is there, at least until later today when it will probably be weakened significantly.
