That $2.60 on offer looks juicy...they are in form, and we have no Crouch, Murray, Hinge (and potentially RT and Fog)....

All I can say is...I bet that loss to the Suns comes back to harm us....
If youre a punter and believe in Nicks ability to f**k up our Club, back to back losses to the Blues and Power is paying ~$6.20

To me Cerra looked like an accidental high push and Hinge looked like a deliberate strike, so it's hardly surprising
All three incidents with Crows players (Hinge strike, Worrell tackle, Peatling downfield freekick) were notable for how obvious they were. Separate from tribunal issues, the players basically waved a red flag in front of the umpire screaming "LOOK AT ME BREAKING THE LAWS OF THE GAME!". All three ended up with a shot on goal, where there otherwise wouldn't have been one.

It's more unprofessional than anything malicious.

Maybe dawson is playing injured or sore? May also explain the drop in form
I often miss subtleties in here, so I will ask: are you defending Nicks moving him to FF?

If Dawson was injured pre-game, don't pick him.
If he was injured during the game, sub him out or get him on the bench.
If he was "sore", get him off the ground to assess and treat.
Having him idle at FF in the last where he got zero disposals is the move of a desperate and moronic Coach, which we have.

There are many things Nicks could do to make our team and style of play better, but he does very few of them. That's proven by his record; one of those traits is that when we get over 4 goals behind in a game, we have never won that game under Nicks.
At the end of the 3rd quarter we were 42 points down :madv1: = GAME OVER.
The final margin of 18 points flattered us.

What Nicks has to do is make sure we don't get in that situation eg by not allowing Serong and Brayshaw to waltz around the oval with impunity from the opening bounce.

P.S. my guess --- and it's only a guess --- for Dawson's drop in form is that he is totally frustrated by what is happening and puts so much into the game trying to lift everybody and impact the game that he has burned himself out and ends up making errors.

Should of been dropped anyway.

I can't see how we could offer him a contract for next year so not out of the realms of possibility he has played his last AFL game.

It won’t be, he’ll come back as soon as he’s 70% right and we’ll repeat the same month of stupidity. I’d love to know if there’s a selector who constantly argued against his selection.

Got them at $2.86 after our game. Crazy stuff.

....... I understand Crouch's reason for coming back, he's putting himself ahead of the team, I don't understand how the selectors keep shooting themselves in the foot.

And oh yeah, trust in Burgess, he never gets anything wrong.

I don't think he is putting himself ahead of the team.

It's his job, he's put his hand up to play whilst not at 100% - which is fine for a player to do.

It's then up to the coach to assess whether that hampered senior player is better than a fully fit youngster.

With pretty much a fully fit list to choose from, Nicks idiocy knows no bounds. There was zero reason to rush Crouch back in after how well our midfield functioned the week previously.

IF we had 4 or 5 mids out injured then fine play a hampered Crouch but to do so with a full list is just yet another example of Nicks being so far out of his depth.

I wouldn't rule out,

-The hip issue actually being manageable
-The club finally marking Matt's papers
-The club using the hip as an excuse to spare Matt the indignity of being dropped

He had to be dropped and what do you know... Matt is injured, so he's out the team, but hasn't actually been dropped.
I like your thinking - Crouch is also the least versatile player on our list other than ROB - can’t play him anywhere other than CB.

I would love to see Edwards, Bond and Pedlar come in with big Butts!
