and given Nicks has reverted back to the early 2024 'no risk' game style, we should expect a low scoring affair.FUN FACTS WITH GROTTO -
No team in 2025 has scored 14 or more goals against Carlton in 2025.
Only one team has scored 13 or more goals vs Carlton, Richmond in R1.
Carlton are conceding on average just ~72pts/game in 2025.![]()

As I mentioned in an earlier post I really don't know if full time Mid is suiting his skillset anymore. The more I watch Dawson the more I think he's better suited for bursts through the middle, rather then the entire games/season. For a guy known for his elite kicking, his kicking efficiency is only at 50.4%, dragging his DE down to 58%, and retention per kick at 46.8%. With a league high turnover rate, a career high in clangers per game and a career low in Goal:Behind ratio. (Its all there in WheeloRatings.com if you want to check it out)

With two defenders on the sidelines, and Smith being named in the best SANFL players last two weeks, you'd be a brave man to be against him being named in the side tomorrow night. With Nicks in panic mode after last week, the temptation to draw on experience would be overwhelming. How's Charlie Edwards looking? Is Hinge out an opportunity to take a look at him?
Although that promising looking lad Smodie Brith is pushing a strong claim for a debut as well.

You just knew it was going to happen, especially with Cerra getting off and the axe being swung from the tribunal so easily lately...Hinge ban upheld
That's a bit skewed by 2 of those last 3 games being against North and West Coast. Performance against Geelong was impressive, though.Carlton's last 3 games of scoring looks a bit scary. Average ~122 points for and only ~66 against.

What a ****ing joke this game has become. You just knew it was going to happen, especially with Cerra getting off and the axe being swung from the tribunal so easily lately...
Is this going to be another example of a nonsense post being exposed and you slink away?Dawson not in his best form? hahahahaha
He's currently sitting 3rd favourite for the Brownlow..
Never change Crows board, never change
They don't even try and hide it anymore, its just every chance to wack us disproportionately over anyone else they take. It almost feels like they believe they are frontline protectors of the vfl clubsTheWWEAFL strikes again. Couldn't have been more certain that once Cerra got off they'd need to keep Hinge out.
I hope we have our lawyers on a "no win, no fee" agreement. We'd be saving thousands. They don't even try and hide it anymore, its just every chance to wack us disproportionately over anyone else they take. It almost feels like they believe they are frontline protectors of the vfl clubs

I wonder if there is a betting market on tribunal decisions...if there is, i am going to start making making money off itI hope we have our lawyers on a "no win, no fee" agreement. We'd be saving thousands.
Maybe dawson is playing injured or sore? May also explain the drop in formNot, when you remember who our Coach is ....
I think it just goes down to we can't get a shot on goal unless we clunk a mark once our ball movement gets killed, so we chuck Dawson forward as another guy who can hopefully pluck one.Kicking has been very off this year. 40% DE against Freo suggests his disposal is very rushed. HBF would allow him to get back to his best, more time with the ball to improve his disposal - we know how damaging he is so play to his weapons.
Could be a Rozee-like shift
Playing him at FF in the final quarter last week though was bizarre
Lose this week and Port will be fav for ShowdownCrouch out for 4-6 weeks
I never like our players to be injured but.......
Another injury mismanagement by the looks![]()
