Perhaps the Adelaide game could be discussed in the appropriate thread.

I haven't watched much of STKILDA this year.

What are their strengths we need to take away? What do we need to watch out for? What's their transition game?
Sorry - too busy announcing the season is over, in case you missed it :).

We're 0 chance of winning a flag this year.

I am not sure what people's definition of season over is. If it's that then yes, it's over.

But in terms of what we can get out of this season it's not. Making finals again and perhaps even winning one is definitely on the cards and that's super important.

We need to send a message that we are a top club, regularly play finals, we're in it and could become a contender.

When it comes to singing players this is a big deal.

I get the feeling the moment we start to fail and start missing finals, that's when the exodus will happen and things will really get bad.

Only 1 in 18 wins a flag in any year and if we are being honest it isn't hard to make a convincing argument that every team above us other than the Lions won't win the flag.
No team would be sitting at 3/5 saying the season is over - play the kids.

It’s ridiculous.

Who knows what can be achieved - having a crack at it will shed further light on things that’s are working & not working.

Some things we know already, others we’re yet to know.

Throwing the towel in now would be a waste of the list we have, its development & our future planning opportunity.

Since ive been on here reading (circa 2005); the posters who keep telling us not to be upset... that all is not bad rotate every two years with different names. Right now we have 3votes and the rabbit. History says you will be either gone soon or fed up yourself once you put in a longer shift.

It's OVER
Hey Soap,

The only reason you would be so confident, is that you know the players have given up.
That IMO is very poor and accentuates the cultural issues within our playing group.
If that is true, then all the leaders need to have a good look at themselves and more importantly Voss should have delivered some statements by NOW.

This will be an interesting watch.

Only seen us recover from impossibly bad starts in a season twice in my lifetime - first time was 1978 where we were 1 win and 5 losses at Round 6 and went on to win 13 of the next 16 and the second time was 2023 where we were 3 wins and a draw after 13 rounds.

Very difficult to come back from those positions and we've only done it twice in 45 years. ;)

History suggests that it IS over.
Brisbane were 13th after round 9 last year with 3 wins and a draw from 9 starts. All and sundry on here called them as gone.

Clearly plenty would gave to change and right at this point in time you couldn't see it but history doesn't actually suggest that it is over.

As Mike Williamson used to say, if we win, I’ll walk naked up and down Bourke Street in a stooped position.

One problem with that……we’re not Brisbane.

This is the 'Referendum' game for the Board.

Did they make the right decision when they had the prospect of Mike Fitzpatrick, ex-Chair of the AFL and ex Carlton Captain/Champion/Premiership hero as replacing the current dud?

We can wallow in the 'stability' of mediocrity.

My 18 year old son said that he finds our Club depressing and soon he'll blame me for supporting them. Have a think about it. His first gifts when born were Carlton scarves and Jumpers. For what?

Ross the Boss will stick it right up us and I hope he does for the sake of change.

TDK - to kick 5

White to have a day out
Fogarty to lay 8 inside 50 tackles
Carlton to keep saints goalless up to half time.
