After that Crows player walked the ball in for a point with no pressure around him, then straight after they give Rankine a 50m for our guy on the mark running BACK from the mark, (insane when you think about it) I turned the TV off. I wasn't going to put myself through any more of that umpire cheating, if only for the sake of my mental health. They miss all the free for us, but give everything to them.
Utter corruption, you can't convince me otherwise.
I love the Pies , but the AFL is a joke . They can start by having an even draw. It's the very first tenet of any competition. Let alone, allowing ex players of a club to umpire games that club is playing in. Imagine that in the EPL.. Steven Gerrard refereeing Liverpool's games lol.

I think this is a great idea, get Paicos a uniform!!!

Second this, it was a nice touch and felt cool. Wish they turned it up just a little bit louder but all in all, enjoyed it :)

Third this. It was really classy and didn't reek of virtue signalling. The whole affair was classy.

From the WTC, and then showing only indigenous player highlights in the 60 seconds before the bounce. Then the imagery and music after each goal was beautiful.

It was a great win for the club today, but in the light of day, it really wasn't about the footy.
The tragic death of Adam Selwood, has obviously had a profound effect on the club through our connection to the Selwood family via Scott.
If you have kids, no matter how old they are, give them a hug, and a kiss on cheek and tell them you love them.
I have definitely told my son how much l love him....

Such a grinding, fighting effort by the boys today.👍
I imagine it would've been a very sombre environment after the game, when the players learnt of the tragic passing of Adam Selwood.
I think Fly will be glad to get home tonight and let his emotions flow with his own (other) family. 😪

The players will no doubt support and care for one another and Scott, whenever he returns.
Such a tragic event .

Anyone else feel really confident and comfortable even when we are challenged ? No longer the heart stopping terror of hanging on in 22/23 just that were professional and experienced and will get it done ? We seem a lot less defensive now when challenged , we just kick more goals now rather than trying to Presti it for a quarter . Good coaching .

I saw the post match interview with Fly and he had to end it early becuase he was getting emotional.

And apparently the players weren’t told that Adam had passed until post game

"And it was all Ned Long. He laid three tackles in 60 seconds to set the tone, then dished off two goal assists by hand in 90 seconds, making the most of conditions that suit someone so comfortable shovelling coal at the coalface on cold, winter Melbourne afternoons."

thanks Dawkthorn!!!

A great gutsy win. Love that we are finding ways to win despite injuries to key players such as Moore, McStay and Mitchell. Bonus is getting games into the kids.
lol, can't help but feel you may have left another name out of that list, goes alright as well

hmm.

IQ is down on confidence. Dropped 3 marks today under little pressure.
Long was a beast. Not sure what youre seeing here

Cox...well...he was atrocious. I think he'll be back in the VFL next week
You don't get it. He is there for relief ruck duties and because of the way we like to structure our forward line. Once again, he did some very good things amidst the occasional dropped mark. There were plenty of fumbles from everyone out there.

Not an ideal day for a 211 cm player. So Membrey in the ruck and one tall up forward when he is? Is that how you'd set up?

I think Coxy will play again next week.
