close early on blues coming after the pies
but after half time pies pull away and get its mojo back and click into gear

say around 24 points.
weather clear crisp night only a cool light breeze
if i was moore and i win the toss ill kick to punt rd end first quarter
attendance should get around 87k there mcg

No Hill at training today.
Not confident now that hill plays.
Still misses this week methinks.
Thinking of playing Will parker now or at a pinch Cochrine.
Kind of running of these types now that Shultz is another week away and mccreery is 3 weeks away.
Pies lacking pressure forwards in this game.
We could play Harry DeMattina in this situation.
Hope Hill is ok.
Family issues getting in the way now.

I would have thought De Goey, Schultz, Sidebottom, Hill, McCreery and Frampton are very significant outs. All would be in Collingwood’s best 22.
They are. Carlton probably have 9 unavailable in their best 22 which was more my point about the comparison. We are bringing in Frankie Evans. Don't think you have much to worry about - especially with our recent "responses" after poor losses

Moir and Evans to combine for 6 goals, The greatest things since sliced bread.

So 'not comparable', because Collingwood are a far better team with far better depth?

6 out of a team that heavily relies on 35 year olds to win them games with no talented youth on their list is massive though, let the pies have their two good years now before their best players turn 40 and we’ll sit back with a hot chocolate and a scotch finger biscuit and watch them cellar dwell for the next 5 years after that.

Gotta make allowances for Fitzey mate. Not sure the lift goes to the top floor with that guy. Poor old Fitzey didn’t have any friends as a kid. Apparently his mum used to tie a bone around his neck, so at least the dog would play with him. Very sad case.

Surely the Blues lift for this? Both sides usually lift despite to positions.

Just hoping for no injuries.
Frankie Evans in.

Blues by 200
Pitonet in. There will be a fight. Possibly concussions, and not just friendly fire from Maynard.

Surprised no one has gone with Tryden Maynhard yet. I guess he's loved and respected by all.

expect the blues to show a bit of back bone, like the roos last night..
But pies will get home - pies 24p
