Weird game. I think the game was fairly even just our finishing was bette. Same as last game

A comfortable win margin wise, 18 goals, q2 different goal kickers, over 100 points obviously kicked for the game but a performance that wasn't overly impressive over the course of the 4 quarters. This was a demonstration of how to win a game on the back of maybe 25 minutes of quality footy.

Not impressed with the Port player kneeing Zorko in the ribs tbh.

Did enough in 15 minutes and then coasted the rest of the way. You’d hope they’d have learned their lesson from a couple of games earlier this year but apparently not just yet.

What I will say is when we apply pressure like we did in the first quarter it’ll take a good team to stop us. When we drop off for large periods like we did again tonight the Pies, Dogs etc will kill us.

I think you’re underselling Port here, we played 25 minutes of DOMINANT football but Port made it a pretty even contest outside of that burst

Bailey - all australian? just blitzes teams. you would hate him getting it as opposition

The Surge - good to see us burst out of that lull to begin with

Rayner getting 20 plus again - not his best game but is really consistent at getting involved atm

charlie - might give him some confidence

The Bad

Defence / mids defending - another crap side kicks plus 90 at the gabba

Marking of players on transition - we just give so much space once we switch off.

Letting Luko get it 50m out uncontested - anyone on our side heard he's a good kick?

It’s the same thing everytime we play bottom teams at the Gabba. We made west coast look better than they are. Melbourne. Essendon. We’re not that good at the Gabba and it’s easily our biggest weakness right now. We did a little bit today to change that, but I wouldn’t trust us in the finals against any team at the Gabba. That’s why I’m hoping we finish 3rd or 4th

Classic case of just going through the motions tonight.
When we flicked the switch we turned the power out and were far too good but when we turned off we allowed them to move the ball far too easily.
And they kicked goals from out of their ass.

Agreed, I think the margin was quite fair in the end. We butchered a few guilt edge chances and they were kicking them from everywhere.
