Seems we've forgotten games are still happening.

Some milestones this week
  • 150th game for both Marshall and Wood
  • 50 games for Caminiti
  • 50 club games for Stocker, if passed fit.

Any selection guesses?
Out: Webster, Keeler

In: Stocker, Heath

Stocker (if passed fit) obvious replacement for Webster. If Stocker doesn’t get up would like to see Carroll get a full game. Thought he was stiff to be dropped and was very good in the VFL. If there is any sort of selection integrity Keeler gets a spell so bring in the Moose.

Personally I don’t think we can play Butler and Higgins in the same team anymore but doubt that RTB will drop Butler. Henry lucky to keep his place but I reckon we just bite the bullet now and leave him in. Would like to see Box get another crack but reckon only the 2 changes above.

Unlike against Freo, we had a few poor performers against Hawthorn. If Collard was going better I'd advocate for a swap with Butler. Wilson wasn't fantastic, although I think we're at the point where we just need to keep him in.

But I'd go with Keeler out, Heath in (to play mostly forward), and Stocker in for Webster (and O'Connell if Stocker doesn't come up).

And I think we win this weekend.

Let's get a look at Heath and we still badly need more foot skills so get Ari in there

OUT:
Keeler, Butler, Webster, Hill

IN:
Heath, Collard, Shoemaker, Boxshall
Collard LOL , I hope you were drunk when you posted this

Shoemaker..... :laughv1: :laughv1: :laughv1:

Are we thinking that Ross is trying to "let the Cobblers cobble".......

I think we’re truly in play the kids territory at this point, especially if they’ve shown something which I feel like Heath and Boxshall have.

IN: Travaglia, Boxshall, Heath, Carroll
OUT: Webster, Hill, Keeler, Butler

Amartey and Papley both injured this week, so their forward setup is going to be unpredictable. Talk of a debutant for them?

We need Stocker for the rest of the year in Webster's absence, so if he needs another week off to be sure, then hold him back and play LOC. Cant have Stocker come in this week and re-injure himself.

I don't mind Heath getting a game as a forward. I don't really see a future at the club for him beyond this season, but there's nothing really to lose giving Keeler a week at Sandy to find the footy a bit more.

Not sure where Wilson's at. 14, 12 and 11 touches in his 3 games back is not really cutting it, Carroll or Boxshall are probably more deserving of a spot at the moment, but Boxshall is a completely different type of player to Darcy. Maybe Hill comes back in to start and one of those 2 plays as sub? Maybe thats equally undeserved for Hill?

From memory Caminiti is a least a reasonable set shot. Currently we have laurel and hardy as our designated forwards.
Surprisingly our overall conversion rate stacks up pretty well across the league.

About 6th or 7th for all shots but falls away badly to 15th spot when you just look at set shots.

Our problem is more about creating shots on goal - we are about 14th for shots on goal.

As an aside Max Heath has kicked 50.33 in the VFL - so a 60% conversion rate.

My take on Heath is his papers have been stamped, however due to where our list rebuild is at, where our season is at, the coaches are duty bound to give Heath his debut to "tick the box" as part of thier overall due diligence to each player in their care.

If Heath has a blinder then it gives rise to reconsider, if he has a shocker, then supporter backlash is also mitigated by having at least given Heath an opportunity. If he plays OK-ish, then that also gives the coaches the luxury of giving him more opportunity and a greater look before seasons end.

How awesome would it be if he has a blinder, it would kind of be our equivalent of a finals win within the context of a club that enjoys the rarest of wins.
