Time top drop TDK I think, and probably put him on ice for the year. Not because we want to protect him, but if last weeks efforts are his new standard as he's leaving then we're genuinely better off with him riding the pine. You can't run out on the field when the bloke next to you has checked out.

If they do pick him, then the standard that sets for the other 22 is just horrific. Even if he were signed up for the next 15 years on $2m a season, that effort he put out last week is 100% droppable.

Strangely I think I’d rather TDK play and see if he continues to play checked out.

If he plays like that for the next 7 weeks it wouldn’t say much about his character and would probably make supporters less disappointed if he left.

We were up 49-7 in the second quarter against a team the bookies had us beating by 10 goals.....and ended up losing the game.....Just let that sink in !
It was as clear as daylight from watching that abomination that there had been no effective tweaks to our game plan in the off season. It was still basically kick and hope into our forward 50 and our kicking skills were still shite.

But I’d try and get a few more in. Both campos and Binns (acres and lord - both went sub 45% DE last game as well as Fogarty whose not doing enough)

Is 10 too much? Maybe. But these leaders of ours need to stand next to these guys and help them learn the game rather than just getting by the 2026. These kids will put their bodies on the line. It’s time for our leaders to get back to doing the same.

Side note. I think pitto and HOK together will function better than TDK and Pitto. HOK is a much better forward than the other rucks. I’d argue pitto is a better tap ruckman particularly when getting stoppages inside forward 50. These goals of ZW last week came from some great tap work.

He's down on form so it gives an option to make a statement at selection without throwing out the baby with the bath water.
My concern would be rushing HOK back if he's the replacement.
