Ummm, the fact we were mathematically still able to make finals? We were 1 game out of the 8 a month ago. I hope the club never adopts this “oh well, we are 0-4, guess we aren’t making finals” mentality - cause that is loser mentality if I have ever seen it

We were never ever going to make finals after the Richmond loss, our season was over as soon as we lost that game, imagine losing to a bunch of kids and still thinking we will play finals.

I literally posted after that game "Carlton are far more likely to finish in the bottom four than top four" and the vast majority laughed. But it was seriously evident even then, it was a shocking, shocking loss that spoke to the truth of what the club had become.

Gold Coast lost to a Richmond team with more kids only a month later. Are they certain to not play finals?

The history around us bringing back injured players early and it not paying off would suggest that this was attempting to bet against the odds especially around this type of injury.

Jeremy Laidler anyone?

Why doesn’t the club play it safe with injuries instead it appears to me we keep taking shortcuts?

Who thought in Footy Dept thought we would be in with a chance in finals by the time of MSD? Delusional or in the blow up everything to save Voss (short term success mode)?
Newman has been in full training for about 6 weeks now. What do you mean taking shortcuts?

I have to admit that after that loss, I had this feeling in the pit of my stomach that our season would go south. Yeah I get all the "mathematically possible" and "its not over until its over" stuff, but when you know, you know, you know?

Was at the game and I said to my mates after the game and during the second half we aren't playing finals, and Voss will be gone at the end of the season.

Was a mistake when we hired him, just like with Malthouse, Teague and Bolton, we have had so many line in the sand games and we keep getting lip service from our "leaders" been hearing the same shit for a long, long time now.

Nothing has changed and nothing will, lost all my love and passion for this club, they don't give a stuff about us supporters, get their fat pay cheques and put up the shit we have been subjected to for years now. They only call us when they want money or when it's time to renew our memberships, glad I didn't bother this year and I won't bother again.

Let’s see how serious Voss is after such an insipid, pathetic performance on prime time Friday night football.

Out - underperforming and out of form players. Regardless of seniority.

In - Players in form in the VFL. Reward them.

Two rucks don’t work. TDK rucks. Lemmey CHF.

OUT
Doc
Acres
Fogarty
Pitt
Evans
Fantasia

IN
Saad
Lemmey
Binns
Ben Campo
Flyn young (plays the full game)
Wilson/Charleson

*O’Farrell stays in as Silvagni replacement (was monstered last week, but leave him in, give him a chance to learn and develop at the highest level).
*Moir stays. Will be a player

Bad kicking is bad football, it’s legitimately that simple and on that basis my changes are as follows:

Acres: the captain of the Lygon St Butchery

Doc: love that he has a crack, but as his age / experience you can’t be kicking the pill that way

Fogarty: has missed so many goals and targets the past 3 weeks, love his pressure, loathe his execution

F. Evans: can’t stick a tackle as a mature ager, can’t be in the team

Pitto: was not our worst, but TDK is a horrible horrible forward and two rucks doesn’t work

On notice: Cez and many others

Ins:

Saad

Lemmey

Wilson

Cinc

B. Campo

TDK needs to commit one way or the other and be done. He is woefully out of form and Pitto is a better option as Ruck.
Cripps, Curnow and Weiters are under performing. Cerra is not player he was, Acres is done, needs to repair his shoulders or give it away before he damages further. Fogarty is not up to it.

Cowan Weiters Haynes
Saad JSOS Carroll
Hollands Cerra F Young
Williams Curnow Fantasia
Motlop McGov Lemmey
Pitto Cripps Moir

B Camp, Evans, Wilson, L Young, H Charleson

Harris Andrews might set the intercept mark record this weekend if we persist with one tall forward.

Hope Motlop continues with his little form streak; he doesn’t do the mercurial stuff, but he does the hard stuff (at least for the last month).

Don’t mind it👍

not sure how anyone could attend our game…nothing to do with loosing…but why would anyone want to watch such poor quality football…if anyone is crazy enough to go please boo tdk for me thanks
You’d better change your username then ol mate
I’m not happy with the TDK situation either and would rather he was sitting it out BUT
PLEASE don’t boo our players people or abuse them as they walk off

Wish I could but changing teams is frowned upon…if no Carlton supporter is happy with tdk playing then why is he playing? The club dont care about any of its members

I think Mots is a lot more of an Owies-type small forward than most of us realised. Not lightning quick, but has the footy smarts to read the play and find space. And generally finishes well. Hope he finishes the year strongly also.

From round 9 to round 17 (inc) he has laid 35 tackles - an average of 4.37. His work ethic isn't the issue, he just needs to finish his work a little better (13.14 plus a few complete misses)

I will be rocking up for my first game since we played Hawthorn in round 3. Mainly because a lot of the conditional supporters won’t be there. The atmosphere might actually not be toxic this week

His form of late has certainly improved but his finishing (particularly this year) is far from good.

Going at less than 50% this year (without counting ootf) and I would say it’s still the area he needs most improvement. He’s not a high possession winner so he needs to become ruthless/high impact when he has it

hope the players don’t blame toxic atmosphere when they miss from 30m out directly in front…we are officially the worst performing club over the last 25 years…and currently the worst team in the afl…but we are conditional supporters lol

Didn’t realise it was a Thursday game.

Misery is inpatient.
For some reason I thought it was a Sunday. Thursday is awesome because we get the pain over and done with quick smart before the weekend and there'll be other games to talk about pretty quickly after ours so we don't have to listen to vultures enjoying our rotting carcass as they'll be distracted with upcoming games and happenings.
