you guys thought you were going to get Pickett for cheap. Getting hysterical without realising that you would've had to give up everything to get him. I find that bizarre. All it would've taken was 1 measured supporter to be like 'guys, how can we actually get him. we dont have the players or draft capital'.

No doubt his head was turned. Most Freo fans knew what we had to offer (wasn't necessarily his worth), was up to Kozzie if he went for it really, not really Melbourne. Kudos to Melbourne for the godfather offer though, shut it all down pretty quickly.

Pickett has maintained a high level since his second year but stats wise year 2 and year 5 is about the same. Botlon's first 4 years isn't as impressive but each year he improved.

The cherry picking was comparing Pickett's last season at 23 and what Bolton did at 23.

Some people peak early, and others improve.

yes, he has. A level that many fans thought he would once he moved to the midfield but you got your head stuck into stats and put a ceiling on a 23 year old. Learn from your mistake.

Context is everything.

The comparison was Bolton and Pickett.

Stat wise you made the point that Pickett’s stats were better than Bolton’s.

I made the point that Bolton’s early stats wasn’t good but he massively improved. It’s was better to compare later stats as Bolton improved more.

It’s intellectually dishonest to remove context.
