Well cal twomey tooWell if you say so.
He played last year...If West Coast want him they get him for free. A pick #29 from two years ago who didn't get a game until he's about to be out of contract can walk to the bottom side in the PSD or a third round pick - he hasn't gone up in value without half a season of exposed form.

He played last year...
Rising star nom 6 games into his career I'd say he's going just fine.
Player who was coming off a bad injury in his 18s year and has struggled with his tank to date played substitute a few times... Must be a bust. He's played six games and half of them have involved a substitute. More than half of his career goals were in his last game, four against Melbourne.
He does not have exposed form.

Theres a reason he's being talked about after the Melbourne game. Even against Brisbane the week before and the Pies one before that it was clear the talent he has once he builds his endurance and physique. Could be anything if he continues to develop his work rate and tank.
Good thing he's got another month to bump it up then! And if he decides his future is at WC you'll be lucky to get a third round pick for him. His value has not risen.
So does the TDK money we're set to have freed upThey've got a lot more money to spend. That 90% of McGovern's salary next year coming off the cap has to go somewhere.
why would they want to pay all that money on a bloke whose value "has not risen" since he was drafted 2 years agoThey've got a lot more money to spend. That 90% of McGovern's salary next year coming off the cap has to go somewhere.

Because it doesn't have to be much to beat Carlton's offer. We are talking $100k here and it's over the top, move to WA and live with family here.
Carlton aren't known for paying their outside the top 25 players all that much money.
We've got a mature small forward who kicked 30+ goals last season that'd look just great in navy blueWhy would Carlton let the only half decent small forward/hybrid forward we've had on the list since Betts go for pick 19 when we've been crying out for one for close to a decade?
look at what’s happened to owies.
Because he was a massive WCE fan pre-draft and wanted to go there. Why on earth would he want to go to the West Coast? I get we arent going too well but thats the last spot im wanting to go if im a forward
He's actually a perfect example, wasn't offered a contract at all by Carlton and has had his career extended at WC. He had played 23 games for the Blues that year before being shown the door.
Moir would have watched his fellow forward and seen what happens, needing to get his future secured.
The primary point is that if WC have turned his head, Carlton will be lucky to get a pick in trade for him ahead of the third round. They can get him for free.
100%Because he is out of contract and gets a better offer and asks for a trade.
Can we please not get bogged down in the BS argument the club wont let players leave.
When a player is out of contract they decide where they play. Often under contract players get their wish.
And if the player chooses the wooden spoon club then the existing club takes what it can get. Or if it's Geelong, they seem to trade in players at 50 cents 8n the dollar every second year.
He was selected with pick 20. Pick 19 if offered is bloody generous and lands a replacement quality small forward.
Owies could barely kick on the run he was that ordinary. He's actually a perfect example, wasn't offered a contract at all by Carlton and has had his career extended at WC. He had played 23 games for the Blues that year before being shown the door.

It's going to suck for you when he re-signs in 3 weeks and your eternal death ride once again fails to deliver. And it's going to suck for Carlton if he walks to WC. His manager is hopefully using that leverage to bump up the Carlton offer and then taking it back to WC to match.
