I certainly wont be supporting them, but I wouldn't expect them to support us either...it is the way it is.

However I do have a daughter and a nephew who do barrack for them so if the Power do get up I will be mildly happy for them.

But ignoring all the Crow/ Power stuff...I think Geelong are deserving of the premiership as they have played fantastic football and have been by far the best team in the comp.

Geelong by 26pts.

Hopefully it's a good GF, both sides deserve their place there. As for caring if Port win, well, if it's not the Crows winning I dont really mind who wins (except Collingwood of course)

I just cannot bring myself to barrack for Port. Not so much the team itself, after all, most the players are just there to play football. But its their supporters that get me. All the bandwagonner's that dont watch footy until Power get into the finals, then they're experts and the first ones to jump up and down and talk them up and point out how the Crows are'nt there and they are. Not to mention they 'Boo' absolutely everything. Hope the Cats absolutely belt them!!!

I have a couple of friends who are loyal Geelong supporters. I'd almost feel happy for them if the Cats get up after the many years of suffering they've had to endure.

I reckon the football purists or real football supporters from other clubs (non Port Power or Geelong)will be barracking for the Cats and your Johnny come lately types will be barracking for Port Power.

I am hoping for good game...And it should be with both teams playing attacking footy.

Will be watching it with some Port Friends...But I couldnt care less. In 04 I was disapointed as they beat my second team in Brisbane. This year couldnt care less... Dont really like Geelong either.

Might have a bit of a chuckle if they get hammered though.....

Am I the only one that still thinks Port aren't that great, that they got 2nd this year because of luck with injuries and luck with playing crappy teams at the right time and playing good opposition teams with injuries.

They're good, but not Geelong good, I mean they just beat a injury ravaged West Coast at AAMI for christ sake.

Honestly based on form, they are going to get their arses handed to them next week.

Yah this is what I think also.

They played the bottom 3 teams TWICE, all wins. They played a dead West Coast team & a Geelong team missing a few stars. They somehow beat the Hawks with that ebert goal.

Thats 9 wins just there.

Finals, they play a 2nd grade West Coast team at AAMI. Prelim, they play a team who has got BELTED by Geelong and who even the Crows smashed.

Port wont make the top 4 next year, thats my red hot tip.

Yep, surely you must be right.

We were just lucky to beat Geelong (the team that finished 3 games clear).

We were just lucky to beat the Hawks.

We were just lucky to beat WCE.

We were just lucky to thrash the Roos by 14 goals.

Yeah, you're right. We should give up now.

Whereever we finish, it will be above where your team finishes, pecker. That's my red hot tip.

You played a Geelong with Bartel, Ling and others missing

You played Hawthorn and kick a goal within seconds of the siren.

You played a half dead West Coast team TWICE.

Roo's are crap.

You shouldn't give up now, your team has had an exellent run of luck this year and it might just continue to the grand final.

Crows strive to surprise. Lets just wait and see what happens next year :thumbsu:

:D:rolleyes::D

I would rather slam my todger in a door....repeatedly....that barrack for that pack of dogs

**** Port Power, Port Magpies, Port Adelaide, Pap smears, whatever the **** they wana call themselves and everything they do

All these jokers who state "I support SA football" obviously do, but not the AFC

You cannot support us and then barrack for that mob, the antithesis of everything we are, everything we stand for.

(For those Port supporters who read this, antithesis means opposite :thumbsu:)

Rant over,

****ing Port mongrels, god I hate them:mad: :D

If Nathans surname wasn't Ablett would he be in Geelongs best 22? Very average player.

I know that they might be trying to keep him out of the limelight a bit, but surely you play Tomahawk Hawkins?

The kid is a born superstar already and has to be a better option than the slow, laconic, disinterested Nathan Ablett?

I agree. I reckon Geelong may regret that Hawkins wasn't given more gametime during the year as Nathan is a very average tall forward. I reckon they will go into the game 1 QUALITY KPP short, could prove costly. Geelongs only chance is if it's wet.

Well can you at least explain why you're barracking for the cross town rivals?

Apparently because I'm not a true Adelaide supporter. Haven't you read the thread?

In all seriousness, I'm in on the rivalry as heavily as anyone, but we're effectively in off-season, and, after the amount of times our club has been screwed over by the Victorian administration and ignored or belittled by the dominant Victorian media, I'd like to see the Non-Victorian winning streak continue for as long as possible - even if Port are the team to do it. I'm very much hoping Port will "poach" another flag from "footys real home".
