I don't know, personal pride? Because they're paying you to play? Obviously doesn't have the mental fortitude for AFL football
How much motivation would you have for your job if you were about to get sacked in a couple of weeks while significantly worse performing employees continually received opportunities over you?

Some good young names in the best players (and the top ups performing too)

PA: 1.5 4.8 10.11 12.12 (84)
GLG: 3.3 6.6 11.14 13.16 (94)

Goals: Mackinlay 3, Chamberlain, Charleson, Finlayson, Linke 2, Jackson
Best: Mackinlay, Watkins, Ramm, Lai, Weidemann, Linke, Turner
There’s been a real honesty and grit about the way these guys are playing and I think it starts with the toughness and intensity of some of the top ups. Having a FB who blankets the opposition’s best forward is huge as well. Ramm has had an exceptional impact on this side. Might just about be the best and most important young player on our list, at least tied with Whitlock.

Any news on Byrne? I was only meters away and there was a loud crack just before he went down so I thought he might have snapped his achilles. Terrible news if it is correct.
SANFL commentators thought it was a lower leg injury, Ports SANFL report says it might be a knee injury.

Good talls are the key.

And that’s why I give us a very good chance against Norwood next week.

And why I wouldn’t want an influx of AFL-listed players dropping down and screwing up the good balance we’ve got at the moment. Our worst performances this year have been with 16-17 AFL players on the park, many of whom are just going through the motions.

These guys are playing with a bit of heart at the moment.
