Or to Bali.
I word urge a bit of caution when it comes to the Melbourne game on Friday night. They are not the worst team in the AFL by any means. In addition, they have a promising group of some very talented youngsters such Windsor, Langford & Turner just to name a few. OK. Finally, we only beat them by a point when we last played them on the Queen's/King's Birthday game at the MCG. So the team needs to take this coming Friday night very seriously indeed. Any talks of margins should be totally parked for the time being. Just concentrate upon getting a WIN! Goodnight & good luck.

I wasn't suggesting the club nor I are taking this game lightly.

My comment was in reply to someone asking any chance Dee's send some of their players off for surgery this week.

I'll be as nervous about this game as I am for every game.

But we seemed content just to keep doing the same thing over and over, which let Adelaide guess exactly what we were about to do.
This wasn't a deliberate 'oh well, we'll just keep plugging along and hope it works'. The opposition and weather had a say in it, a big say, Ade have been one of the best pressure teams in the back half of the season.

Their defensive numbers suggest as much. They were lucky to get away with a win though.
OUT: Continued adherence to a game plan which is not working, IN: switch the game plan between different modes in response to opposition tactics.
But it IS working, we've managed to get back our dna pressure game and then transition off of that, 1st qt an example.

AND, we still managed to 'tempo' the game at different parts, even in the 1st qt. It wasn't all just win stoppage and ball speed transition, we had to tempo at times instead of just turn it over in our f50 for the oppo to transition out.

The last 3 qts was an arm wrestle because weather and Ade amping up the pressure and denied us transition, as we did them, and like I said, they were lucky to get the win off that, why? Because to beat Collingwood's game you have to out Collingwood, rarely that comes off.

OK, we've been shit ever since i got sent to Bigfooty jail so I'm not saying the Bigfooty main board mods have ****ed our season bit I'm not not saying the Bigfooty main board mods have ****ed our season. Im sick of being a family man for a while and i think ive worn my pathetic arsenal of Dad jokes out on my kids that they've earned a break from me. What have i missed? If we lose to Melbourne i think im going to go full Gimp and wear Kmart jeans and an Anko t shirt for a week in protest
You're a gun Pistol and we need you back!

I’ve been saying for years that Josh Daico is an All Australian level rests/rotators
Given our repeated inability to take a mark inside our forward 50 after having 71 inside 50's, I think we must include Mason Cox in the team going forward. He is a point of difference because pretty much nobody else in league can match his reach. Secondly, if he cannot mark the ball, he can either bring it to ground and/or knock the ball to potentially dangerous areas in our forward 50. Thirdly, his form in the VFL - while I did not watch the game live - from a statistical perspective, he appears to have gone quite well against Port Melbourne last weekend. Finally, he cannot go any worse than McStay given the latter's recent form. OK. Anyway, that is my opinion. Goodnight & good luck.

Very shocked at any warnings posted here that we need to take this game seriously 😲

Can't see how anyone could be fearful that we would do anything otherwise.

The result of this game is massive for our destiny.

No way our lads are going into this game thinking the Demons are easybeats.

They've got Friday on their mind.

And it is about going to the city and making finals look so pretty.

Go Pies!!

Yes, much is working. But crucial elements are not. Our response to flooding is not working in my opinion.
Im basing myself not just on Crows game (where weather assisted them), but also GC and Freo games.
Moreover, we need to have a plan to deal with flooding in wet weather as well.
I think faster, unpredictable ball movement is the way to break it, even in wet weather you have to try it.

I think you might be right.

The club has appeared to be very patient and supportive of him through this.

Ultimately though, he’s a highly paid professional. Not all careers allow for personal issues to take the person away from their duties for an extended period.

A week or two, maybe. This has now been several weeks and maybe costly to the club and the season.

Not blaming Bobby and I feel for him with what he’s going through, but undoubtably the absence of him has had a negative impact on our on field performance. Especially in close losses. The timing of our form slump correlates with Bobby’s absence.

I feel for him but he has brought a lot of it upon himself. You would think if he doesn't play this week then that's the season done. Can't keep having the will he or won't he play or even train saga continue on.

The coach and Maynard have all but ruled him out. As Maynard said, we need to look forward to the challenge that awaits without Bobby in the team.

We struggle against the Demons. Since 2018, we have only kicked 100+ once, and that was Round 24 last year. Even then, we only won by 46 points which might not be enough.

We don't kick big scores or win by big margins against this Demons team. So we';ll have to do something we haven't ever done under Fly on Friday.

First step is to win.
Other results could go our way.

Suns should win each by 10-12 goals if they’re serious so I’d reckon we’d be ****ed.

Collingwood can make sure that the Suns HAVE TO do that, with a big win ourselves. We can definitely influence the difficulty factor for the the Suns. The rest is up to them but until Friday nights game is completed, Collingwoods destiny is still in its hands.

Demons haven’t been this crap in that time period not has it been a dead rubber for them. Not saying we will belt them but the opportunity is there and past results are largely irrelevant.

Unfortunately Cox doesn't bring the ball to ground anymore. He gets bodied out of every contest and doesn't get his hands on the ball. It's just wishful thinking these days. Against Port Melbourne, their ruckman and Cox didn't even match each other up around the ground, they just run around by themselves without accountability. I'd love for Cox to come in and be that target but he just offers nothing. Side's have been flooding heavily against us.

Windsor and Lindsay are out injured
