I have no concerns about the 5 weeks. The issue I have is how Willie Rioli got barely anything, and consistency is needed.

Yeah, you'd think death threats would carry a heavier penalty. I'm not condoning homophobia but it wasn't long ago this sort of language was commonplace on the footy field. A heavy fine and education would be a far more apt penalty.

Death threats vs homophobic slurs. Controversial view perhaps but I reckon threatening physical harm on someone is worse.

Agree homophobic slurs needs to be removed but 5 weeks off the bat is a bit harsh. I must admit, part of me wanted to feel validated with a suspension to Rankine after seeing some of the other suspensions handed out for this sort of thing already being between 3 and 6 weeks but now that its happened I sort of feel ridiculous.
