Was Boyd playing half back? I was watching the game, but don't recognise the newer players I don't know.
I would agree with that, unless Poustie is starting in the middle.
I was too scared to start her at U with Pritchard coming in. I thought she might get TOGd. Looked like their M5. She's a ripper, though. Put up a 102 in the champs decider for metro, then a 118 in her VFLW debut.
Possibly? I find it really hard to believe they have 6 defenders better than her, but if anyone does, it's them.
I didn't see it, I was melting based entirely off of scores. She usually plays out of defence. She's a taller player with very blonde hair - possibly confusable with Jassie Ferguson. Much more of an intercepting/rebounding type than Ferguson.
Not sure if the mics would have picked it up, but fair chance she had a decent cheer squad making as much noise as possible every time she touched the ball today.

thb, I get easily confused with all the blonde haired women. Port are the same and have a few. I mostly have to look out for their numbers to figure out who is who.

Hey that's my D4! Feel like I'll be playing rookie roulette between her and Indi Strom for awhile yet.
Doing the CBAs in preseason, I was very appreciative of anybody with a distinctive appearance. Another way in which Sarah Poustie is a legend. I don't think I'd ever get Patrikios and T Smith mixed up at ground level, but from a higher angle it's tougher. The GC camera was an absolute nightmare. There was a point where I was trying to work out whether a player was Havana Harris or Lily Mithen.
Ooh la la, such a fancy defence. She's my D2!
Also, I've just crossed (perhaps temporarily) into hat range!
T Smith has very long hair and lower ponytail. Patrikios has darker hair. I think I was getting her confused with Vesely. Mithen has a distinct look and is shorter lol. I was getting Harris confused with another player though.
Harris has 20+cm on Mithen, but that preseason game looked like it was being shot from the Hubble Space Telescope. At least I can confidently say now that Rowbottom is basically recognisable from anywhere.

Might need to start putting more thought into my captaincy choices, rather than just lock it in on Noffy and forget about it for the season.
Looks like it'll be the second week in a row I've left points on the field by not even considering it. To be fair, whacky low scoring game and Adelaide are lookin all sorts of odd, but man Riddell (C) would have been bloody nice.

I went Garner C this week over Noffy. Port are an easy matchup, and boy, do I love Jas Garner! Can't believe she went off for a rest with just under 3 minutes to go. She could easily play full foward, but with the way North were going, that wouldn't count as a rest because the ball was constantly up there.
I considered trading her down to someone else, or not starting her, but look at her ownership... and she has her favourite matchup GWS next week. She's still a ball magnet despite how badly Crows are playing.

I thought about giving the C to Garner, but I had Noffy-related FOMO, especially after Garner went sub-80% TOG last week. Best player in the league, which may show up more now that Noffy and Turbo aren't putting up comedic numbers of tackles every week. Just waiting for Daisy to realise that Ella Roberts is basically young Garner and play her full time mid.
Noffy needs 7 points right now to pass Fish, but when I posted it was looking a decent possibility she'd end up my sixth best mid for the round.

She's still scoring well, 100+ comfortably but nowhere near the 130+ lock she was last year. The new rules on holding /prior opportunity, lowering stoppages have nerfed her and Charlie a fair bit.

I know that feeling. I didn't have her (as a forward, no less) on Moreira's Magic in S7. I've never not had her on the official game as a result. Learned the same lesson on Riddell the next year.
Noffy was only credited for 3 tackles in the first quarter and I felt like she had way more. She was everywhere. Also, last week when Crows were getting called for HTB despite not having much prior with the new rules interpretation, Noffy didn't get any of them. At times, I felt like Noffy deserved the free kick as the player had prior. I just know that Noffy lays more tackles than she is credited for.
1550 for the week, seems a high scoring week, Rentsch and Birch the main let downs.
