I would think Lachie being out for the last 3 games supported Dunks getting nominated, and elevated Bailey to a squad certainty. Specifically on Dunks, it just made him so much more visible not just as a defensive mid, but for his own ball winning ability outright. Great recognition, he absolutely deserves it.

It would be nice if Dunkley got recognized for his great team play and consistency.
Dunkley has been nominated before and like McCluggage has not made it yet.
Dunkley is not an in your face recognizable mid compared to well about a dozen or so nominated regularly.
To be honest even as a Lions supporter i have to look closely and see the full replay of games to acknowledge his worth during each game
A worthy AA if selected. Maybe with Fagans comments from time to time on Dunkley may help him be selected.
When someone like Fagan recently says he is the best defensive mid he has ever seen that's a big rap.
