I don't know what your other planned trades are or how much cash you have, but could you do Watson down to Grieves, Boyd on field and Garner up to Riddell?

Either way, the news that Garner could be just 2 weeks has me thinking I need to be prepared to bring her back in. If we could get a week without a forced trade, that'd be nice. I'd like to go Toogood and Young next week then Garner the week after. If I have to bring in a $300K red dot to get it done, I'll do that. I can see a world where I go Fish to Sheerin next week as a one-week play.
I'd have to field both Ott and Boyd if I trade Watson (since I had Rentsch on field last weekend), which I've considered.

As we know, things never go to plan. Inevitably, there'll be forced trades. At least Toogood is still cheap. Garner might be the tough one.

They're now both 42, does that seem better? I'm also using a 5-game weighted average so they aren't losing those just yet.
I've always been under the impression that AFLW Fantasy uses a 3-week average because of the shorter season. I had a look and couldn't find confirmation either way. I guess we'll find out on the weekend, one way or another. If it's 5-week, then I'd expect Clarke and Hampson to be pretty close, since they have a similar average and a similar price.

It does use three round I’m pretty sure.

Boyd belongs on-field after those two scores. With Ott, I'm hoping Dal comes to the conclusion that Wardlaw needs to stay forward (both from a Saints and fantasy perspective). Knowing Dal, he'll bring in Caris.

If I'm lucky enough to avoid further forced trades this week, my hope is that Fish can get a good enough score that I don't have to deal with her next week. Then I can trade one of Bacon/Clarke/Hampson/Rentsch to Toogood and two more of them down to bank some cash ahead of a potential Garner return.

As you say, the odds of that plan coming off without a hitch are basically zero, but it's nice to dream.

It does use three round I’m pretty sure.
Ive just been using 17% / 34% / 50% weighting. As in, the previous round has 2/6 weighting, the round prior to that has 1/6 weighting, and the round to come has 3/6 weighting. Then I try and find the required score for the week to come so that all 6/6 adds up to what the player is priced at

If they've only done 1 round then the previous round has 2/5 weighting and the round to come has 3/5.

Mine will be a fairly boring week again. Just gotta keep building the bank through bench upgrades. Somewhat trickier as there's some nicer matchups here, I'd love to get in Grieves, but Howley against a lifeless GC is a tempting hold.

Kos -> Young or Lowest Selected FWD BE player (as a 1 week play for Toogood)
Rentsch -> Rigoni
if Heath is selected, then it's probably a GPres up or downgrade, even though I fully expect her to bounce back, either a Sheerin cash play, or I can buy literally anyone.

I do need to start moving on on field rookies, but Clarke will become Bonnie next week, Stone and Boyd are more than fine and have plenty of cash to make.

Ott is an interesting one, probably time to go, and the targets in the DEF line are moving up quickly. Again, could nurse GPres for a week and get Ott up to anyone, but am tempted to chuck in a Duursma type for a few weeks.

Bre Harrington becomes an attractive ruck option for anyone needing an upgrade, Good to miss a couple of weeks with a calf injury.

She was one of the elite rucks in the W a few years ago before her switch forward, and she’s been scoring well despite not being the no 1 this season. For a under a mil it’s worth a punt if you can’t reach the $1m ones

Ours was a whacky game for scoring. I'll wait for the CBA data, I get way too invested to pay too much attention to stats, but Srhoj didn't have a bad game to the eye, would have expected at least a 50-60.

Outside of Zarlie, I don't think there's much viable in our side, except McCormick (who I almost bloody started as a gamble) is starting to string them together in a big way. Could be risky, but she's got such a beautiful kick I almost wanna get her for that reason alone.
Had a look at Pease as a potential Watson replacement (would be the only way to get a viable ruck upgrade), scored well the past two weeks, and has the easy two coming up, haven't been able to watch a heap of Giants games yet, but I'm guessing she has the running HB role

Cambridge a bit too pricey to take a punt on

I'd love to get in Grieves, but Howley against a lifeless GC is a tempting hold.
Not ready to offload Centra?

I know she'll explode any moment (read, when I trade her out) but last weekend was a far better performance and she still only got 48.

I'm keeping Howley over Centra for now. Could always get Centra back if she starts dominating but I'll miss the $100k or more increase on any pop score.

Agreed. Think she’s a phenomenal option this week.

To make the same amount of money as Centra this week Howley would need to outscore her by 11 points

I only bought in Centra last week, but it's more I'm finally up to a good rank (836), and don't want to slide too much by doing 3 bench trades.

I like the trade, it'd make bank, and yeah Centra against North could be a disaster of a matchup and see her drop a 20. But when I've got a tapped out Rentsch and a dead Kos, gotta try to balance bench cash with on field scoring.

It's an option though. Trying to think through my way to get a double upgrade next week + Bonnie.

Yeah I brought Centra in last week as well. Thought she would do better, but not ready to move her on yet. Admittedly I didn't realise she had North this week.

Main query is around Garner really, I'm having trouble choosing either Gardiner / Roberts / Nanscawen to bring in from a premo selection point of view.

Another part of me (cos I really loved her the last few years) wants to pick Sheerin - she's dropped $218k in value, and I'm hoping she is going to get more midfield time these next 2 weeks, if she backs up her ton that would be great value for an $806k mid.

Other 2 trades - one is definitely to bring Boyd in, probably for Rentsch.

The other I'm tossing up between Howley to Grieves to ride that wave, or cash in Dunlop for Symonds so I can bring Bonnie back next week (hopefully Amber Clarke gives me a little boost this week to make that trade not too much of a step up).

is Symonds an option? I thought I heard that she was going well but then went off injured in her game. Might wait for teams before I decide on trades.

Gardiner and Roberts both have great runs coming up. Sheerin is value, so I guess if you use that extra cash to do moves elsewhere, it could be worth it.

She isn't on the injury list released this morning for the Hawks. Only Najwa Allen and Ashmore injured from the weekend.

Yeah I just don't know what to do with that cash if I bring in Sheerin - knowing I'll be wanting to bring Garner back in when she is fit. If it works out well then hopefully will only be $300k to be found to upgrade Sheerin back to Garner, but if I spend the cash now and Sheerin doesn't work out then I'll have to do other trades to scrounge up the cash...

I'm considering skipping Grieves for Sheerin. I'm finding it hard to resist having a second North mid against Collingwood. I don't think anybody would be surprised if they set the score record again. Collingwood is also the equal most stoppage-heavy team in the league right now. It doesn't feel like it's going to be close. I'm half wondering if we should be stacking our sides with North, since they're basically the Harlem Globetrotters.

Downside to Sheerin over Grieves is it leaves Fish at M6 and I have to keep Ebert for another week, since I need to move both Forbes and Rentsch to make it happen. I'm expecting all of Ebert, Forbes and Rentsch to lose money this week, though, so I'm not sure it matters which one I wind up keeping. I still get to bring in Georgostathis and McLaughlin with $98K left over for moves next week.

Thinking to sit on McDonald as a red dot loop. Plays before Adelaide in a useful way for the next 5 weeks.
This week could be a Goldsworthy VC...

If they've only done 1 round then the previous round has 2/5 weighting and the round to come has 3/5.
Cheers, I've changed to 3 game weighting too. Did a check using it for last week's BEs and seems to work pretty well.

Kos back for the Giants. No Young for Port. Carlton giving Torpey a debut, which would impact Harrington, if anyone was thinking of that move. Poustie out for the Dogs, although I doubt anyone was holding her after last week. Wales back for the Bombers. Hurley out for the Swans.
