The poetic justice of it was that it was always going to help Collingwood. Everyone knew it was coming and Pies have heaps of experience and have always thrived in that sort of backs against the wall environment - whereas it was pretty bloody likely that the inexperienced mob with heaps in their first final were more likely to turn into panicked dump kickers the more intense and hostile the crowd were - and they did. Great stuff - the morons booing Quaynor for having a homphobic slur directed at him not only made complete knobs of themselves they also helped their team lose.

AFC club don't get the issue and ****ed it up completely. They came up with a provocation defence and many Crows fans are silly enough to buy it. I still can't believe that their statement after the suspension landed was about how Rankine had apologised to Quaynor but nothing about the broader issue. It's truly bizarre that they seem to think that the issue is about players being mean to each other - and have sent that message to their fan base. No one cares about players being mean to each other - it's expected.
