Probably the main news from the teams:
  1. Garner named on field, Sheerin on the bench! Spanner in the works heh...
  2. Fleming named on extended bench for the Hawks.
  3. Caris named on extended bench for the Saints (for those holding Ott still).
I feel like it's impossible to trade in Garner this week. Coming back from an injury, BE of 150, facing Brisbane and if she's a late out, I'll get my D6, which isn't going to be somebody good if I'm getting Garner. The extra points that Sheerin got v Fish last week feel like they're about to evaporate.

Even without Fleming, Stone had to go. I don't know why the Hawks suddenly switched to Hipwell in the middle, but they did. With Fleming in, it's an extra easy decision.

Besanko out is another concern as an Ott owner. I could see a world where Dal names Caris to ruck and pushes Ott forward. I've got more pressing issues, and I can loop Ott with Ebert if needs be, but it's definitely a worry.

Aisling Reidy might be interesting if she's taking Duursma's role.
If you need to take a punt on a $300K rookie, I don't think a random Irish player is ever a terrible bet. The one watch is Brooke Vickers, another wing who is in for Carlton this week.

Brooke Barwick also an in for the Dogs this week. $300K mid named in defence. She spent some time there in the VFLW this past season. Top-5 pick in 2023.

Most of the rookie ins this week seem more of a watch and wait situation, unless you desperately need the cash from a downgrade.

I've been playing around with my trades a lot more than usual this week.
Got it down to:
1) Fish --> Hore and Stone --> Toogood
or
2) Harris --> Strom and Stone --> 300k rookie (probably Reidy but TBC) ** with Bogue on field.

Would love some thoughts.

Strom is a set-and-forget upgrade, Hore isn't going to finish as a top 5 or 6 mid.

But Fish is probably maxed out in value, and Stone needs to go.

So that's probably not much help. But I'm likewise very tempted by Hore this week if I need to replace Sheerin (cant get up to anyone else).

Woodland named at full forward.
Argh missed that. Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully just a team sheet thing...

Yeah, I'm torn now between trading out Fish or Sheerin first...Fish BE is 86, so likely to lose cash, while Sheerin is only 51 - but as you say the role will change. Might have to hold on to Sheerin a little longer if they are likely to score equally, at least she will gain cash. Sheerin keeps getting less TOG as well - only 65% last week.

Got to work out priorities really - is Woodland a bigger risk of a low score than Fish or Sheerin? I think so. If she stays forward then most definitely. Could be time to move her out for Barnett or Moloney around her price point who are more stable scorers.

I think I have two trades I'm happy with - Ott to Heath, and Stone to Toogood. I reversed Koenen to McLaughlin - with Rowbottom back, I'm not sure if that would affect McLaughlin's midfield time.

Just the third one...Fish or Sheerin out (probably to Hore), or Woodland out to Moloney/Barnett...

Who from Hore, Bowers and Roberts? Feel like Bowers is the safest and they probably go to Garner within 2 weeks.
Definitely not Roberts. She's playing a lot of forward.

How so?

Her CBA attendances have been: 73%, 83%, 50%, 62%. I wouldn't say a lot forward based on that. Scores of 118, 86, 126 and 72. The last column (MAP) in https://dfsaustralia.com/aflw-fantasy-player-summary/?playerId=CD_I1022823 shows she spent most of her time FWD MID the season, with her most actual FWD games in Round 1 (118) and Round 3 (126 score).
She should be in the middle more and be a solid 110 each week from a fantasy perspective but Daisy is moving the magnets around. If we're still in contention towards the end of the home and away season, I'm keen. Right now though, I'm not.

Every week Daisy has changed the midfield mix too in particular (outside of Roberts and Drennan) which makes Rowley a risky pick as well imo

I like the Strom option. Get the endgame ruck. You're going to leak some cash either way. Might as well get a genuine keeper in there.

Woodland should actually get better as it goes with Houghton + Tahau forward and Levicki + Young not too far away.

Travelling this weekend, so I'm not gunna be across anything. Please, no late changes.

Hate my trades except Kearney, but they've gotta be done.

Boyd -> Kearney
Stone -> Toogood
Sheerin -> Hore

Brings me up to Bogue & Ott being the only rookies on field, which ain't bad at this point really. Really need Boyd in next week, along with Young to get a midfield upgrade.

Hopefully one of this weeks rookies shows a little, anyone roughing any in?

Suited my trades to hold Rowbottom last week (she wasn't going to lose money)
Plan was to trade her this week...

Now she's named and I don't know if I should trade.. Haven't been impressed at all, and if her shoulder plays up and she drops a low score I'll be annoyed.

Now ideal trades are just all over the place.
This looked good with $95k left.
(Heath in so she can cover Boyd as Rigoni E isn't much cop)
