I wouldn’t rush him into the middle, needs a seasoned body to stand up to the rigors of midfield for a season.

In the very likely event M.Reid ends up playing as a mid there it will no change to the size (or lack size) of our midfield.

This is not a criticism but rather looking at it as a gold plated dilemma. Obviously the mids will need to all add an extra set of skills to the roles they play on game day.

A very nice problem to have going forward into the next few seasons.

In 2025 we lost one game when Murphy had more than 15 possessions and won 6. It's only a small sample size obviously but I expect we'll win most games where Murphy and Young have over 20 possessions.
