Re: 'Alleged' rumours resurfacing ...

Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

Thanks all!

The point is that the stat tells you nothing on its face. There are too many other variables. It's meaningless by itself.

The stats are the stats. Thats what they say. Carlton win a higher % of games when Harry plays by himself. Carlton win the least % of games when Charlie plays by himself. Together Carlton only win 42% of our games. This isnt solely a small sample size. These are the numbers since they both made their debuts for the club.

At face value, the stats say Carlton are better off playing without Charlie. If you want to look into the variables of each outcome, be my guest. :thumbsu:

Taking the temperature on other boards.

Swans reckon someone unexpected will be put up. Florent is being pushed out.

Suns don't want to give up anyone

Cats think it might happen, but have no clue how.

Reckon it's the Swans

The mail up in Syd. is that clubs north of the Murray and north of the tweed are not as keen now. He is too much of a risk (fitness, attitude) as compared to hanging onto the younger A-liners they already have. I'm also told that we are not actively trying to get something done!

The manager has form, and GW is not going to put up with it!
Yes and yes.

Florent, Chesser, Khamis aren't taking Carlton up the ladder.

Not on their own. We still have guns though, and you need to surround them with hard workers in the right positions.

Weitering, Cripps, Walsh and McKay are still capable of being elite. Cerra has the pedigree to join them but the doubts are there. No reason why Jagga can't have a season like Murphy Reid just had. Then we know that Harry Dean will be great, it's just a matter of how long it will take.

We are adding pace, run and athleticism with the likely ins. 2 of who were first round draft picks. I don't mind the moneyball play, combined with second chance motivation, and hopefully complete buy in from the players now. I think of someone like Scrimshaw who was a bust at the Suns, but is now a very important piece at Hawthorn.

I also look at Collingwood who aren't exactly flush with elite players, but their game plan and buy in keep producing results.

As someone who has an unofficial 'second team' as Mum's entire side of the family are Doggies mad, he fell off the face of a cliff in the second half of this year.

This isn't a Haynes situation where his footy smarts allow him to be a good defender therefore aging slower, Jonesy has always relied on his athleticism to cover ground and create marking contests. Old age has caught him and he's sadly not very good any more, even for a year. Doggies were screaming for key defenders all year and he still didn't get a game, that's how poor he was.
Yet he still dominated at VFL level

Has to be Swans or Gold Coast.
Cats have no picks of any value & won't part with anyone decent put a line through them.
l think their priority will be Marshall.

This.

This stat is distorted by the early years when they were young and we were a bottom side. A more reflective stat of their worth would be to look at 2022 season onwards. Does anyone have this stat?

So you want to distort the stats by only including the couple of years where we were goodish since they made their debuts? Interesting
