Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Copper duff could be a bust. No guarantees. We've traded out three first rounders for unproven players and weve lost our best forward and ruckman. It's a massive list management risk for a rebuild.

Over the remainder of the contract, which is exactly what I'm stating. A player moving on doesn't affect what they've been paid so far, or how what they will be going forward. So Charlie wouldn't need to pay us back what's he's been paid if he left in the back half of a front ended deal. And Collingwood couldn't trade their back ended deal players to avoid the expensive part of the contracts.

I agree on Walsh. Wanted to keep him this year as I have thought we would drop off further in 2026 and the possibility of getting an extremely early compo pick might be what the club need to kill it at the 2026 draft.

Walsh seems to be all in but a FA move could be on the cards, can’t get a read on that just yet

Right now, after losing 2 players that we wanted to keep (only 1 of which would have been foreseeable at the time of the mid season draft), we have 4 list spots.
We also already have 3 players who have requested trades to Carlton.

Don’t think they’d give up Walter and Humphrey plus pick exchanges for a 29 yo Curnow imo.

One player (probably Walter) and pick 7 for Curnow would be the core of a good trade for both clubs.

The exchange of other picks is a separate deal and there may better candidates to get a lower order future first like WCE, Essendon rather than the Suns F1.

Also said Swans seem most likely for Curnow and they are willing to part with two first rounders. Also, seemed to propose Hayward would be added to the deal for Curnow. Still also states Carlton's view he is not up for trade.

Hayward is a 185cm forward, but not a tall.
Interestingly their young actual tall Buller has requested trade to Collingwood.

The point is don't let your A graders become free agents. Then should they choose to leave the club can get maximum return.
