Hipwood I don’t rate at all. The GF showed why those kids need time, if they didn’t have the all time goal kicking midfield depth that they do then that looks very different.

Just an opinion but Oscar will be one of the best FA pick ups by any club to date.

I think the issue I see with this scenario though, is that if Sharp & CDT are off the board then the demand for pick 4 might be limited so splitting the pick may no longer be in our best interest.

I could definitely vibe with Sharp, Phillipou, Kellaway and a F1!

Sharp & Kellaway are what was Richo & Browny.

Reckon we are done for talls outside of a ruck, which Blair has typically filled with a trade for a 2nd stringer. Maric, Hampson & Nank.

I think you're being quite unfair to list Hampson as a second-stringer, considering he was an exceptional sicknote!

Our next KP target maybe Dougie(26) but even then i doubt it.
Think we're well off with Armstong/Faull/Fawcett & Sims.

It's Essendon you need to worry about taking talls.

We need genuine onballers, which is why I don't see us taking grill unless our pick gets split.

Grlj played midfield every game for Oakleigh. His versatility to play half back and wing is a positive not a negative.

I just saw one highlights clip, maybe it was for Victoria? It was all distributing off half back. I liked what I saw but not as a HBF.

Schubert is the only tall in the 1R I want from this draft, and that’s to play at CHB. If I was the Dons I’d be taking the Richmond approach and making sure I get CDT and Schubert then take the good mids from the top next year.

I also think they should take a punt on Hertherton with a very late pick

Grlj has been a bit unlucky, stuck behind FOS, Jagga et al for midfield time at Oakleigh last year would have been great for his development if he’d had more midfield time as an under ager.

His in game agility is off the charts and with his pace matching up on both him and Hotton would be a nightmare.

Like Robey and Duursma he’s got tremendous upside and a lot of development left. If Richmond wanted to go balls out Id be taking Robey and Grlj.

The safe option would be Sharp and Cumming after a couple (Lalor, Hotton) of upside picks last year as both are clearly 200 game players and a nice SA tandem who have played a lot of footy together.

Cumming will end up the best midfielder in the draft IMO.

Late pick for Young will be used if a bid comes for Kellaway.

Why? Just take the best 2 and be done with it, no need to get cute.

Those 2, Kellaway + Smillie, Hotton and Lalor in 2 drafts. Its not like we'll be short of mids anymore.

I'm all aboard Robey & 1 of Grlj or Cumming. Not really tied to either over the other.

Dees are our best option if Petracca and Oliver leave. Would be a fun deathride, they're going to be shit(ter) next year.

From memory he was pretty adamant we’d take Bo at 11 and were even considering him at 7
