Unsure on Cox if he is contracted or not but still have him Membrey and McStay already would assume it's 1 in 1 out even though Buller is much bigger then Brodie
Cox isn't contracted, and might not be retained if we can be confident in the other options we have available to play the role.

McStay is not in the best 22 currently despite being healthy, and Membrey isn't going to impact list management decisions one iota.

So I'd look at it as Cox potentially not being offered another contract, and Mihocek potentially moving on, with Buller coming in and the prospect of Charlie West playing more senior footy next year if he can get healthy and improve his fitness in the pre-season.

Wow. That is a sad end for a guy who was your leading goal kicker 5 years in a row only 40 games ago
He's been massively out of form in the back half of the season - He hasn't taken a contested mark since the Carlton game in Rd 18, and up until that point he kicked 28.15, and since he's kicked 8.13.

He's starting to seem like he's always carrying a niggling injury that's affecting his form, which is what happens to most normal players as they age (i.e. people who aren't Scott Pendlebury, Steele Sidebottom or Jack Crisp) and it makes it difficult to commit two more years to him at this point.

I think if we could keep Jamie Elliott, we could afford for Checkers to leave on a friendlier deal. Some combination of McStay, Membrey, Buller and Charlie West up forward next year will have a chance of being as effective as the mix we went with this year.

Well I would be disappointed to lose him given our limited forward stocks.

Well looking at Forwards he could be in Best 22 in RD 1

Miocheck is pretty much Finished and McStay not best 22 and Cox has 1 year left Tops

Probably pick 52 for academy points

That sounds fair to me

Though we need points while Pick 52 should get it done I reckon there might be some swap of picks for both teams try and get more Points

This thread can now move on to the next stage. What's his value?

A third, or a future third, or a swap of picks along the lines of 34 for 45. Something like that.

Whatever the price, he'll be cheap.

The only thing that might hold it up is if either club needs to use the picks in other trades, otherwise this should get done on the first day or two.

Charlie West will be Checkers replacement.
Buller is more of a Cox replacement.
Did Buller play in the ruck at all for Sydney?

I don't rate Cox as a forward, but he's not a bad ruck.

Wouldn't that also be a downgrade?

Not too sad to see him go, he will get more opportunity at the Pies as he has more or less been a depth player who got his chance late in the year once McDonald and Amartey were both out.

Is a nice lead, has good hands but he needs to work on his set shot kicking for goal, he is a sprayer.

I’d say whatever pick we get for him will be used for Rosas Jr

So he be our New/Next Travis Cloke?

He is a poor man’s Travis Cloke 😂.

I thought for a bit he wasn’t up to AFL level but he got an extended run towards the end of the year and actually showed a bit.

I get the feeling Pies might mostly play him forward but pinch hit him in the ruck. Don’t think he will be as good as Darcy Cameron but I can see him being a good value pick.
