Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

IIRC, had cancer himself, dad died, bad navicular injury that kept him out that prob lead to some personal issues and non-performance in a 2-team town.

Riley Beveridge reporting that it is almost a one horse race for Charlie - Sydney. If so I would be prepared to do Charlie for Logan McDonald, 2025 1st and 2026 1st. Gives us another key forward that plays differently to Harry and enough currency to deal with any bid for Cody next year.

Then if we can prise Humphrey loose we are in the prime position to offer 2 first rounders for him (be looking for a Suns 2nd to come back) or otherwise look to package up the two firsts for maybe the Eagles pick 2.

What's the obsession with Humphrey? He's under a long term contract and has said he's happy at GC hasn't he?

Honestly thinking about it now, the whole JUH thing popped up out of nowhere once Dimma acknowledged potentially wanting Charlie.

This may just be the Sunnies playing their trump card to make us fold in negotiations.

If I'm GW & Austin, I'm calling their bluff and forcing them to either commit to a player who I think deep down they truly don't want to, or pony up at the very last minute of trade week.

Humphrey Walter and F1 sounds good to me.

I’d go a bit further:

Walter, Humphrey #7 and F1
For
Curnow, TDK compo, and F2

Chas is worth at least 2 good R1 picks and some change - (particularly as a marquee player in a potentially booming market and probably pushes GC into top 4 / flag contention.)

So call Walter and Humphrey those 2 firsts.
The change is the relatively modest upgrades in picks, (c. 10 upgraded to c. 7 and F2 for F1 which may only see GC slide back 5 - 10 spots.) I might be ok throwing our R3 this year or next in to sweeten it.

A straight swap? Bobby Hill wouldn't be worth half of what Humphrey is worth in a trade, especially with his off field situation. They'd have to pony up way more than what they get for Hill.

Valid points but Humphrey has done nothing and is all potential. Hill is a proven and reliable A grade small forward who is 26 next year he is worth a first round draft pick in a trade

If he was out of contract but he has a pretty hefty 4 year deal, so 40-50 is pretty close.
