It feels like the club has a plan telling Cox and Mitchell to look at options and letting Mihocek go (potentially). Seems like we are looking at younger cheap players with development potential like Blight and Buller, I wonder if giving E Hollands a chance would be worth it?

I'd hang tough if I was Essendon and Carlton, particularly Essendon.

People tend to have short memories. Ryan O'Keefe requested a trade in 2011, the trade never eventuated and he ended up playing for Sydney in their 2012 premiership.

Trading Merrett to Hawthorn would send such a weak message to the rest of the playing group. It's likely my increasing dislike of Hawthorn, but I'd say to Merrett that he can go anywhere other than Hawthorn (maybe not Carlton either) and the club will entertain it. If that doesn't satisfy him, too bad; the club will strip him of the captaincy and he'll be required for pre-season just like everyone else on the list.

In no world would we ever trade someone like Moore to Carlton. The club has too much pride and care for its members.

To what extent are people here concerned of a potential major drop off by either Sidebottom or Pendleton in 2026?

Just thinking about our midfield and the degree to which we should be going hard for someone (or not, and having a minor slide, but getting some games into developing mids and aiming for the 26/27 draft/trade window)
