Sharp didn’t do the 2km, Greeves was sick so wasn’t there. Robey got 6:45 for 2km but someone said afterwards he didn’t test so might have gotten a number confused but I’m sure it was his number.
Challupah said he didnt run but think his eyes must be painted on lol

Noober has put a few videos out of him. Started the year beautifully and would definitely be an option at both ends of the ground. If the stunned silence on here is any guide you might be able to get him with your 6th rounder after you use your 5th rounder to match a Kellaway bid after the 2R.
If we have a late pick I’d draft Hetherton and then rookie Kellaway.

Hetherton and Onley might be incredible value in this draft. Seem to be completely forgotten by most.
Onley has been spoken about as a mid second but no mention of Hetherton and I think he has way more talent. He is a great mover for a tall KPF.

There is hope.

In order to match rival bids at picks three and five for the prodigal pair, the Suns would require 3575 draft points in total.

Gold Coast’s first three selections of 6, 14 and 17 are worth 3562 points under the new draft value index, which includes a reduced discount on club-tied talent from 20 per cent in 2024 to 10 per cent this year.
Patterson is hoping to be taken by the Suns but is happy to play anywhere to achieve his AFL dream.

“If they don’t manage to get me, I just think their loss. I’m happy to go prove myself somewhere if they are willing to do that,” Patterson said.

“At the end of the day it’s a business, I’m not going to get upset at them. They’ve got to do their job, I want to go do mine.

The Suns have enough points to match bids for Uwland and Patterson providing the pick they get for Flanders is enough to satisfy the Dees for Petracca, they will however go into a bit of deficit next year.

What is looking likely is that they wont have enough points to match Addinsal, Coulson or Collins.

Do those picks stay where they are, or are they pushed back with the compo picks? If the latter, then 6 becomes 7, 14 becomes 16 and 17 becomes 19, resulting in a lot less points.

Of course bids coming earlier than 3 & 5 change the equation further.

I’d love Patterson, exact type of player we need. And still plenty of development left.
Zero chance though, GC will match any bids

Do we know why Sharp didn’t run? Is he testing tomorrow?
Likely some sort of injury as atleast he was present, Greeves was “sick” so won’t be there at all. NHH not present at all on Friday not sure why

If WCE and Richmond bid at picks 2 and 3 that would mean the Suns require 4,193 points (already discounted) to match both.

If WCE get pick 2 compo and all current picks slide down GC would start with 3,690 points

If suns then acquire St Kildas what would be pick 8 for Flanders, that boosts them to 5,133

However they would be losing picks to get Petracca.

This could be made extremely difficult for the suns and we could benefit greatly!

Poor Ollie, he must be devastated he couldn’t show his athletic prowess on an entirely unpredictable weekend of illness that noone predicted six months ago. Good for WCE that he didn’t test.

TOP PROSPECTS SHINE IN TIME TRIAL

SANDRINGHAM Dragons midfielder Jack Dalton staked his claim as the best endurance athlete at this year's Telstra AFL Draft Combine, while Oakleigh Chargers jet Sam Grlj also enhanced his credentials as a potential top-10 pick after the first day of testing on Friday.

Dalton and Grlj were the only two players to break the six-minute barrier during the 2km time trial at Collingwood's AIA Centre on Friday evening, with Dalton setting the pace with a blistering time of 5:53.

It followed a terrific season for Dalton, who was one of Sandringham's best in the Coates Talent League Grand Final last month with 23 disposals after returning from two broken wrists in a freak gym accident earlier in the year.

Grlj, who is seen by clubs as a potential top-10 pick and is likely to again impress during the sprint events later in the weekend, ran a time of 5:59 following a tight battle with Dalton after the two were paired together in the same group.

Oakleigh Chargers key forward and ruck Louis Emmett was another to impress during the 2km time trial, defying his 199cm frame to record the third best time of the combine with a 6:07 effort.

The 2km time trial on Friday afternoon was the first of the major events of the national combine, with the country's best prospects to spend Saturday interviewing with clubs at the MCG before further athletic testing on Sunday. – Riley Beveridge

I don't think we'd get any benefit as the Suns can carry something like 900pts into next year as a deficit. Means they would secure both Uwland and Patterson, so those players that they don't have enough points for will come after our picks.

The rider though is just how much they value Patterson over the ability to match bids on Addinsal, Coulson, Murray and Collins, as those bids will come much later.

There's a world where they pass on Patterson so they can secure 2 or 3 of the others (dependent on list spots) From what I understand Patterson is more suited as a HB/mid and the Suns already have Rioli and Noble. What would be tantalising is having the opportunity of grabbing him as he'd fit our list build perfectly.

Robey and Patterson, Come on down!

We’d need Suns to have to use 2 x existing picks on Petracca which would put Patterson right in our sights which is where we’d benefit!

On the assumption they want him of course.

Your secondary scenario where they maybe don’t want him due to their current needs would work mighty fine for us too!

Is spending pick 2 or 3 (before WCE Allen) on an HBF prudent?
