Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Davies, already made a few sit up a bit straighter. Will hold everyone to account, question, probe and call out things out. If he sees something, he will fix it. Lloyd was very supportive and was the ultimate collaborator, but not decisive.

Fraser, given a license to change forward structure and strategy. Like this move. Hansen in the back half will give us more of the same and Clarkes role is very much stoppage focussed and not ball movement or transition oriented. Skipworth as reported has been a big target.

Huge focus on building out depth so if a Charlie to swans deal happens expect players and picks.

GW made a number of redundancies (4 I think), will have a new sports physiologist and there will be a new role reporting to GW focussed on Data, Tech and analytics.

Fraser = Fantastic to hear.
Adams = Great news and that alignment makes perfect sense. Couldn’t be happier. Now hope to see some semblance of good setup and movement from stoppages. Been a real issue!

We’ve been fed a lie by the club, it’s patently clear all of our big guns are being very well remunerated which makes me even more angry when you hear reports they are disillusioned with the club for moving on the likes of Kennedy and not replacing with like for like.
The reason that is is because they’re all taking up way too much of the salary cap.
The other big problem was we failed miserably pre 2023, when we should have been making finals from 2020 onwards and making hay while the contract sun shines where your guns are cheaper pre free agency contract years and said guns would take less seeing they are constantly in contention.
So, I ask the question again, who would you have moved on to create flexibility in the cap?

The top of the tree was clearly taking a dump on the bottom. Taking the cash and then not standing up nor leading the club as required.

We needed to recalibrate, and probably still do with the top players all overpaid on output in ‘25 (mostly inconsistent and/or injured prior).

Agreed, our finals appearances should have been when the team was younger (think WCE back in the day, Bulldogs, Brisbane etc).

I've been saying it for months we need to find a Gardiner/ Payne type and I'm sure the club know this and honestly if we had to consider May for a yr or two I would do it

I strongly agree.
We have plenty of intercepting defenders. We need genuinely serviceable/solid lockdown defenders on the list. At least one each of tall and small.

Binns, E. Hollands and Acres all available to other clubs whilst Gov, F. Young and White will depend on who we can acquire in the trade period. As the Irish boys are cat B they are likely to get another gig I assume, though if this occurs Monahan is lucky. I’d much rather keep Young vs White, feel he’s a little more dynamic and a stronger runner.
