Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

Re Swans:

Most people are missing the obvious you can’t play 3 talls in a forward line these days and especially not 4.

Logan McDonald would be the corner piece of a trade in some way as the most valued of the 3 hence why I think eagles will be involved in some way.

He’s only 23 was a pick 4 a few years ago, solid forward. McDonald, a first pick this year and a first next year and I’m jumping straight on that. Turn this years first from them into Ainsworth from GC with a bit coming back and we turn Charlie into McDonald, Ainsworth and Sydney’s first next year which is likely a pick in the teens. That’s a great deal and one in our favour which I think the club can sell to the supporters.

It was almost palatable up until this point...

Ainsworth will be essentially free, sounds like GC just want to shed his contract so they can make room for Petracca. Few years ago they sent Bowes to Geelong ALONG WITH Pick 7 for that very reason. That was a stupid deal, and they won't do that again, but I think we'll either get Ainsworth for something similar to Reidy (token late pick swaps of minimal value), or if they're desperate to get his contract moved we might get a late pick or pick upgrade ourselves.
