Like others have stated the only agitation regarding Simpkin seems to be coming from him at this point and how keen North would be to entertain a trade is a great unknown.

Given he's contracted they hold the whip hand and with no one of note seemingly linked to them this trade period getting his salary off the books mightn't be a huge motivating factor either.

Jye Simpkin a yes for me… providing his wage and trade price are reasonable

He’s a 80-100 clearance, 80-100 tackles a year player who averages nearly 400 metres gained.

This at a time when Sidebottom, Crisp, Pendles etc are at their twilight

Has had high turnovers in the middle previously… but was in a terrible side which exacerbates weaknesses

I’m far from a draft pick lover but which future pick are you giving? 26 or 27? Massive difference for me considering 27 is the Tassie draft and 26 is allegedly a strong draft wedged between a crap+compromised one (this year) and a tbc+heavily compromised one (Tassie 27). So it’s not just the actual draftee you’d get, it’s the value of that pick in future trade scenarios which is much much stronger than Simpkin would justify.

Yep! Brisbane are a massive concern and should be heavy favourites.

Oscar Allen is a massive get. Even though he's injury prone, they can rest him given they also have Morris, Gallop, Sharp and Hipwood. They can also rest Draper at FF when he's healthy ffs.

They also get another top 5 player in this draft and they have the following players coming back from injury: Berry, Coleman, Payne, Answerth.

Gold Coast SHOULD be good though who knows what will happen given the massive expectations on them now.
