Not a good look for wallan it’s built it’s club from the ground up and now it’s resorting to dirty money, what a way to throw away all the hard work done by some great people, Club is gone and expect high player turnover in the next few years. Short term gain for long term pain.

Riddell has their timing right for a reset then, hope diggers and south all in doesn’t break them. What Pat will do over the next couple of years at Wallan will work in the RDFNL, EDFL prem footy was just too good for simply buying a flag.

The risk will be that the hard work that the RDFNL has done in recent years will be undone if what you are suggesting above does eventuate.

Got disaster written all over it. Surely someone went to EK and asked the question of the state he left that club in. Going to do the double drop and be in pain for years because juniors walked out.

Red flag???? Nick Ash would be highly respected across the league. Played over 200 senior games at his junior club, won 5 senior flags, 1 as captain, coached junior teams at Riddell then went on to coach a senior premiership in this league at Rupo. I’m sure any club in the RDFL would do well if they had Nick involved in any capacity. Who do you follow in the RDFL?

No one is doubting player ability and contribution from a player level at all, so apologies if it came across that way.

I used to get down to TC reserve a fair bit back in my hay day, now I am located far further up the M8. So get to as many league games as I can. Drifting from league to league.

Will try get to a few this year.

Funny that what you posted on the EDFL forum seemed to suggest you had knowledge of what people around this league thought of Nick. So from the above you have had no involvement in any club in the RDFL that Nick was involved in? Good luck to you, you are entitled to your opinion.

I do have knowledge and affiliation with it hence the post , just didn’t get to many games. But you asked what club I was involved with and I stated this above.

That’s an opinion you’re entitled to it, but my affiliation is not down in Melbourne. It is nowhere really just get to as many country league games as I can.

I’m entitled to an opinion just like anyone else. But now it’s becoming slander now and repetitive so I won’t continue with it as that’s not what I joined for here/ was to be involved and discuss footy in the local communities all abroad. I’ve let myself down a bit by going back and forth. So will refrain from doing so in the future.

I just find it amusing that someone who appears to have no direct connection with any club Nick has been involved in comes out and makes comments like they have. Sometimes things don’t work out and that’s life. All parties will move on if not already. I just think some of this persons comments particularly on EDFL thread and some here are unfounded and totally untrue.
