Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Anyone listen to the Trade Radio interview with Ainsworth? Was good to listen to

He memntioned that he is chatting to Humphrey to help him thorugh some family issues. first and foremost hope BH is OK but having Ainsworth at the club would make a move to carlton easier if he has an older mate at the club already.

If Humphries is a pipe dream Hayward would be a good inclusion.

If Humphreys were to happen would rather pivot to McInerney or Bice.

Chesser and McInerney on the wings would be a nice change up.

Had to lol at this quote from Ainsworth:

If it's one thing you can count on at the Blues, it's that we have no structure.

Just means he'll be free to roam the field like he used to when he played his best footy. Much more rigid role at the Suns the last couple years under Dimma.

The only best 22 players here are Harry, Humphrey, Ainsworth, Hayward and Williams, the rest need to improve

That's fair enough, but those 5 would also be the one's on big coin(which Wright is trying to fix), and we need a best 28, not just a best 22, to navigate through the inevitable injury tolls.
So that's at least another 3 from our existing list the needs to be included.

Flynn and White will probably be casualties, we're probably stuck with Fog for 12 months, dunno whether Buku is any more use to us than Gov(he's younger and a better shot at goals), Eli will go.

Kemp, Moir, Frank and Mots would be a luxury to have wasting away in the 2nd's.

I don't think we'll be easybeats if we can snag Bear, but the other spots have to be filled with budget types and develop the kids we've got.

Some need to remove their Wizard, Rankine, Cameron etc. lenses.

Maybe - but given the fact Ainsworth mentioned it as well, thats a pretty interesting strategy to get another player involved

Coudl explain the "overvaluing" of Ainsworth - build a bit of good will with GC

Seems we're doing a great job of keeping our dealings under wraps (noone knew about BA until very late or Corey Durds at all) so I'm not worried at all. Wouldn't surprise to see the first two find a new home in the coming days.

A little less so that he wants to come to Carlton, but if he does, then great. The part I think is very unlikely is GC letting him go. I think they can get Trac and their academy guys in without losing Humphrey

The drums are beating around Humphrey. The Ainsworth stuff adds fuel to the fire - if the young fella is genuinely looking for a move home, coming back and moving in with his good mate to ease the transition makes sense.

If Crippa was chatting to Ben and made a big impact, I can guarantee that BH would've been blown away by Crippa - a bloke he's idolised for years.

Agee with the positional changes, Kemp might be in our best 22 but I'm not sure his best is getting us anywhere and I don't believe he has much improvement in him, My hope is for improvement from Moir to claim a spot full time.

With all due respect to Moir, he's not a Charlie replacement positionally. Kemp would be the obvious one to play that role alongside Harry. And he did kick 5 against the dogs in a limited sample size up forward.

He has a long way to go, but I'd give him a bit more credit than you, I think.

Tbh I dont see how they get the trac deal done and bring in their academy players - they wont have the picks

What i loved about Moir was his relative accuracy

Yep we may be overcorrecting for our big weakness last year - kicking in the forward half - and end up with 15 half forward flankers.

But I see Humphrey in a different category where he could end up as a Dusty type mid. Not at that level obviously but the role.

And Hayward is easily better than any of the small / medium forwards on our list.

Hoping we can run some of these guys through the middle to give us a pinch hit every now & then.

A fast moving big bodied tackling machine like Raynor would be nice .

FFS - clear instruction from Geelong and Curnows team to make this happen. It says a lot about a club to chase someone and not be able to get them through the door with a reasonable trade. St Kilda doing what they did to Aleer hopefully bites them in the future as well
