Re: 'Alleged' rumours resurfacing ...

Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

Thanks all!

People in the media can joke and say we are calling him a Hall of famer before he’s played, but we know what we have

He’s a standards setter, a culture changer and will get the absolute best out of himself. We will have the last laugh with this kid
Jagga will win a Brownlow one day. Learning from Walsh, he and Cody will become the Trac/Oliver of their time but better.

This Humphy's fetish is Pav 2.0. All positioning wishful thinking as a basis of fact. No evidence he even wants Carlton.
Austin Announcement

Apologies to all Carlton supporters ... unfortunately we didn't land Humphrey or even Hayward

As consolation ... I give you Buku Khamis. Are we good?

Yeah ... Thanks Champ...

Tom Morris reporting Suns will give 7 & 8 for Petracca with 24 coming back.

Would leave them with a draft hand of 15, 18, 24, 29, 36 & 52 totalling 3268 points.
If Uwland and Patterson get bids at 2 & 5 that’s 3848 points after the discount.

Something will have to give you’d think.

It’s a pipe dream but get the Charlie deal done with Sydney and then 10 & 11 to the Suns for Walter or Humphrey and 18 back gives them what they need for Uwland, Patterson and a bit more to cover some of the other academy kids if they want em.

Would value Humphrey/Walter at pick 7, which is probably fair value for Walter but unders for Humphrey, possibly a later pick back than 18 if it’s him but maybe the overvaluing of Ainsworth is taken into account in all of this.

Big 3 days here, go you Baggers

EDIT: I didn’t take into account pick 37 they’ll get for Budarick.. but this still won’t cover them off
I thought they had a few more academy boys to select t as well, so even more points required after the big two....

Gawn and Lever have both said they have had multiple blowout on field with him, but it's usually heat of the moment stuff and they know it's because he is a 'hot head' trying to cover defense rather than a bad egg.
Mind you, I don't think the Melksham would agree.
Hardest of passes on May, ordinary conveyance. Untrustworthy in the extreme.

Its a terrible draft

There will still be plenty of players that will have good AFL careers. Next years draft is spoken up as a super draft, like 2018 was and 7 years later Pick 12 Zak Butters would be a top 2 pick in a redraft of 2018.

Don’t be surprised what gems can be found this year.

Got a big feeling that one of Walter (with JUH coming in) or Bailey (everything mentioned) have to be the guy/s involved to break open this Charlie/Swans deal. They need more firsts and that Pick 10/11 could be the tough call they need to get Zeke/Patterson etc and still get Trac.

My best throw at the stumps with a few days to go:

Swans give: Hayward, Pick 10, F1
Swans get: Charlie, 67

Suns give: Humphrey, Pick 29
Suns get: Pick 10, Pick 11 (TDK compo)

Blues give: Charlie, Pick 11 (TDK compo), 67
Blues get: Hayward, Humphrey, F1, 29 (on-traded to WB for Buku)

Overs to us? Yep. Deal that blows us away? Also yes.

How does that get us Dean and Ison? Not sure. Picks in for Acres/Gov/Binns I suspect.

With all due respect to Moir, he's not a Charlie replacement positionally. Kemp would be the obvious one to play that role alongside Harry. And he did kick 5 against the dogs in a limited sample size up forward.

He has a long way to go, but I'd give him a bit more credit than you, I think.
I don't think we want a direct replacement for Charlie, our forward line was not working the way it was. In a perfect world, I think Ainsworth provides us with a good high half forward who covers alot of ground, harry as the big forward, moir as a leading marking small. Unfortunately for whatever reason E Hollands removes some X factor but hopefully Humphries adds that plus some.

Theres always gems to be found, but the Suns would likely prefer the proven talent in Trac to go with their academy kids even if it means overpaying.

They've got picks coming out their arse thanks to the AFL, no need to worry about overpaying when they've got an infinite supply of them.
