Re: 'Alleged' rumours resurfacing ...

Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

Thanks all!

1st & F1 +

- Hayward McInerney

Or +
- Hayward Campbell

Or +
/ Hayward McDonald

(Or something with gulden)

Or, just KEEP the 60-85 goal forward game changer

34 between those three and of course you deliberately left off De Konings 22 games, should we add Mcgoverns 17 games as well?
So 73 games between 5 players - just a bit over 3 players worth to replace.

HOK played 5 games & Pitto played 7 so between those 2 and Reidy we should be able to replace TDK's 22.

Jagga Smith played 0 and Cottrell played 6 so I think that should cover Hollands and Durdin.

McKay and Kemp played 17 between them so I think those 2 should be able to cover the potential loss of Curnow.

Hopefully we can land Khamis plus Dean to cover McGovern.

So that still leaves Chesser & Ainsworth as net gains (plus whoever we get for Curnow) without having to allow for Walsh only playing 14 game

I saw something where the person heard that Swans were looking to get an Eagles first rounder for McDonald.

Now whether that is 11 and McDonald for 2, or McDonald and something else for 13, wasn't mentioned. This was paired with Florent.

So #2, F1 and Florent, or #11, #13, F1 and Florent? I'm guessing most will say the 1st one, but want Hayward instead.

I like either of these but with the second we would need to take 10. 11 & 13 and trade for something else as there is no point keeping them with Dean coming.

Whatever the trade is for Charlie, blow us away. And after that happens, Charlie’s new club can blame him for letting it happen. He could have signed a 2 year contract and left this year as a free agent. Or not signed a contract at all and left 2 years ago.

Hayward is a must in any deal imo

25 1st, 26 1st, 26 2nd and Hayward i will be very happy with

Then find a way to get Humphrey

Would Pick 10 + 11 + 26 2nd for Humphrey + 26 First coming back be viable for GC?

This will lose Dean unless he slides massively.

As long as we can get a future 1st from someone, get dean and ison, and then get in at least 2 b grade players or an A grade player i think that's fine. However that happens don't mind but that would be a great outcome.

I don't want a guy who played VFL on a 4 year contract presumably on reasonable coin on our list. Giving a B grader a 5 year contract is crazy work from the Swans.

Let's run with a bid at 6, which you mentioned a few posts back.

That's 1496 points to match. Pick 22 is 686, pick 25 is 590, pick 26 is 561. Total 1837, leaves 341 points over.

341 is enough to match a bid at pick 32 around the mark for Ison. Maybe he goes a bit higher and we also have to use our next pick (54). 54 is only worth 14 points, but all of those later picks will come in significantly, as picks used for matched bids by GC, Bris, Syd and us are consumed. In the same way, those three picks (22, 25 and 26) aren't going to stay at that mark, but I figure they won't change a lot.

It should be enough. Worst case, we have a small deficit.

Picks in the 20s are the new 40s. Rather than trading for a bunch of picks in the 40s for matching bids as clubs have done in the past, the sweet spot now seems to be around the mid-20s.

Yeah, I missed the bit about our Pick 22. I actually keep forgetting we have it. We also have to turn something into Khamis.

I suspect your trade won't please many because it's only going on bid matching, which nobody else seems to have got theor heads around properly yet.

This Humphy's fetish is Pav 2.0. All positioning wishful thinking as a basis of fact. No evidence he even wants Carlton.

His mates have apparently let the cat out of the bag.

I mean, my best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from a guy who knows a kid who's going with the girl who saw heard from Bailey's best friend at 31 Flavours last night. I think it's serious...

Just starting to feel like it isn't going to happen, I'm feeling very luke warm about the names being floated around. Hoping some clubs are working on some names behind close doors to make it happen, otherwise I think I'd prefer to hold him and chips in for 2026 with a better run of injuries.
