Yep for sure. I remember watching Shaun Borgoynes last game against Hawthorn in 2009. As reigning premiers we were desperate to get our season going and a win would put us in the 8, even limping with a buggered knee, He was the difference.Fair enough. Also I just saw he had a good game v Eagles.
Funny how often it happens that a player has their best ever game and the team it is against recruit them the following season.
He was your Best player in 2025 simple !Best player or best & fairest winner? Darcy Cameron must be better than Daicos since he won the pie’s b&f
Atleast give me a better matchup as i have been in the game way too long to still have to qualify versus inferior opponentsTHE_GUN vs Shueygod
Well I guess this is a battle of the wooden spooners...
He is still a Richmond man.Another matt clarke fk up. This guy cannot be apart of any trades. Totally incompetent.

If we had suggested ( Richmond supporters )Pick 38, Rinsed

He was. Because our best player didn’t touch the field, our second was medically retired, our third played half the season, and our fourth is barely 20 and is putting the whole squad on his back every week. Solid tied 5th for Ginbey. My point was b&f does not equal best playerHe was your Best player in 2025 simple !
Doesnt matter how you spin it Liam Baker was your best player in 2025 as proven by your own club votingHe was. Where do you expect the Ryan pick to fall in a far stronger draft? If we had suggested ( Richmond supporters )
That Tyler Young was worth more than Chesser or Ryan the eagles supporters would have gone absolutely crazy
Yet here we are
Probably in the 30's again with the saints being stronger and the pick they get back in the 40'sWhere do you expect the Ryan pick to fall in a far stronger draft?

You realise that’s a 2027 pick? Where the third round doesn’t start until pick 45 at the earliest?Probably in the 30's again with the saints being stronger and the pick they get back in the 40's
as the eagles could and most likely still on the bottom 3/4
Why did it even have to be included ?You realise that’s a 2027 pick? Where the third round doesn’t start until pick 45 at the earliest?
Feel like this has already been explained to you in the Liam Ryan thread.
I don’t see why it would matter, it’s a virtually worthless pick. Doubt it’s any earlier than pick 50. I’d be very confident that the saints second is better than 38.Why did it even have to be included ?
Clearly the eagles wanted him gone and were des[erate to get him out
McQualter sifting through and cleaning house
This is is how Sisyphus feltYou saying the eagles 2025 B n F was rigged
the argument is Baker was your best player last season
All clubs do it. I remember in 2016 when Richmond picked up Dion Prestia for pick 6 there was a bit of outrage inhouse that we paid to much. The thing is we had a good nucleus of players, so adding more top line players even if you feel you overpay is necessary because if you keep going to the draft you get nowhere fast.Agree.
Always the way though that people get a little too caught up in picks being gemstones this time of the year.
As soon as the season proper starts and the player is out there performing the mindset changes. Young will probably get labelled as a bargain buy for 2026 at some point.
Pick 38 for a key defender who slots into our 22 at round 1 2026 is a good get.
Eagles fans continue to be obsessed about winning every deal
How is it wow. WC got a player ready to go who plays a position they need pretty badly. You might not rate Young but he was very good last year, surprised most of us especially considering he was coming of a year out with an ACL.Well played Richmond. Wow. WCE the gift that keeps giving.
It’s wow for some west coast fans bc of the death by a thousand cuts logic. Overpaying slightly on every single deal under Clarke (some more than others) will start adding up soon enoughHow is it wow. WC got a player ready to go who plays a position they need pretty badly. On talent in this draft class I don’t think it is that bad, but when you look at the leverage west coast had, as well as the surrounding picks, you struggle to see why we couldn’t just send 41. That’s not to say that a 3 pick difference really matters but it’s the precedent we’ve set now over the last 2 off seasons and the principle that is the issue. We are now a team that is happy to budge and give what is wanted. Would never in a million years see clubs like Brisbane, Geelong, Hawthorn etc. give up 38 when 41 is right there. Not overpaying at all.
So tell us what would have been a fair trade but a win for WC?On talent in this draft class I don’t think it is that bad, but when you look at the leverage west coast had, as well as the surrounding picks, you struggle to see why we couldn’t just send 41. Half the reason I think they would’ve wanted to trade that instead of our picks in the 30s is just fan reaction. We threw in an extra f3 to move Ryan for no reason, accepted pick 41 for a former first round pick in Chesser, gave up 3 last year and ended up with Baker + Bo + Gross (which I rate but it’s still an overpay).
Like I said death by 1000 cuts, especially for fan sentiment. When you are never seen to come out on top on ANY deal, it starts to turn rotten. Old mate was talking about swings and roundabouts earlier, but we’re yet to perceive a trade being in our benefit. Another fella on here was talking about west coast fans obsessing over trying to win every trade, but it’s ANY trade right now. Just one.

It’s hard to distinguish fair in my view, from other eagles fans view, and from realistic. So tell us what would have been a fair trade but a win for WC?
Chesser?
Ryan?
Young ?
