* [Big Fish] will be updated in the next 30 hours.

We've been promised a Big Fish for many years now and it looks like it's finally about to happen!

I suspect [Big Fish] will quickly become a lot of supporters' new favourite Suns player.

Was Hugh Greenwood not big enough for you?

Not a bad nickname for the board. If someone says "Big Fish was good in the VFL today" I for one will know who you mean.

Probably his biggest believer on this board, happy to cop any shit throughout the year.

Expecting him to be there day 1 preseason, and be around the mark for Round 0 selection, fitness levels are down so SHOULD start behind Read & Walter but he’s more talented than both as a key forward.

Russian Roulette with the 4 forwards in October 2026. Who knows what will happen, 1 will leave

I'm really hoping this is a reset of his footy career and he buys in and it makes us look like geniuses.
I'm really not hoping for a continuation of the dramas surrounding him this year.

All we can ask for is that he puts his head down and Does The Work.
If he does that then I am onboard, whatever happens on-field.

This is very true from Sam Edmund. Jamarra will only have himself to blame if it doesn't work out with us. If he puts his head down and stays disciplined then he can have a legendary career with us, but if he gives in to temptations and slips then his career is over and there's only one person to blame. It's all only Jamarra to decide where things go from here.

“If things don’t work out for Jamarra, it won’t reflect poorly on Gold Coast, it will on Jamarra,” Edmund said on SEN Breakfast.

“It’s up to him; it’s always been up to him. He has to seize this opportunity, and it will be his last.

“It could be a redemption story we all love.

“This has been Damien Hardwick’s project for months. He is glass half full.

“There are a lot of protection mechanisms in place. It’s a 12-month contract with a trigger for a second.

“How much can go wrong in 12 months? If it goes wrong, they sack him.

“There are things in the contract that we are not privy to but that protects the club to ensure they can cut the cord and not have this bleed out and become a multi-year problem as it did at the Bulldogs.”
