Need more. Can’t let people walk for average picksWe are rebuilding, take it. Sucks but it is what it is, Zach wants out.
Well they did also think Worpel was guaranteed band 1 or 2.
Who's cheated the salary cap?Not really. If free agency wasn't a thing, I'd agree. However as Geelong have shown, if you get the right FA, and have the salary cap (or don't mind cheating it, and paying the fines when caught) then FA can get you everything you need. If we do get the Merrett deal done, it will help us finish top 4 again, which then helps us sell the club to the FA who are coming onto the market the next year or two who want to play for clubs "in the window". We do not need picks for that, just a midfield good enough to keep us in contention.

Offer 2027 first and it gets down. Likely to be 25*We said to Merrett we’d do as much as we could, keeping our word.
How about happenstance?Under no circumstances will Zac be traded
How things can change.Under no circumstances will Zac be traded
After the Eagles are useless freebie and compensation picks it is.How is it “three first rounds”
22 isn’t a first round
As they say - everyone deals in cash - Suns deal in crypto.I still don't get this sentiment (but I agree it's happening).
Why wouldn't GCS treat them as the same value as any other and get things traded into future years? Shuffle some of the value forward as well as having the points this year.
They always seem to leave it to last minute then do a pick dump on 1 thing.
They could have done several micro deals with one of those pick 7 or 8 and kept splitting them into futures and later picks this year for the points they needed. Then done the trac deal for the other high end pick and a future 1st.
Algood you can have Zach on loan for another 12 months but it will cost you 2 first round picks to be subtracted from the deal
Who says he goes to Hawthorn next year, especially considering Hawthorn haven't improved their list?Algood you can have Zach on loan for another 12 months but it will cost you 2 first round picks to be subtracted from the deal
and the restCan't believe there's half an hour more of this shit.
Nah Zac will have to get more clubs involved and everyone dances 12 mths timeAlgood you can have Zach on loan for another 12 months but it will cost you 2 first round picks to be subtracted from the deal
Zach doesWho says he goes to Hawthorn next year, especially considering Hawthorn haven't improved their list?
But as geelong have also shown, if you target the really good free agents you have to trade anyway. Not really. If free agency wasn't a thing, I'd agree. Let Zach know you make his decision for him nowNah Zac will have to get more clubs involved and everyone dances 12 mths time
That doesn’t mean anything. There is 18 sides… 19 is second round if we are going by anything meaningful. After the Eagles are useless freebie and compensation picks it is.

Petracca did this last year and Melbourne got a better return a year later.Who says he goes to Hawthorn next year, especially considering Hawthorn haven't improved their list?
Exactly. Petracca wanted to go to Collingwood last year and ended up at Gold CoastPetracca did this last year and Melbourne got a better return a year later.
Merrett's only 6 months older.
