Delisted Callum Ah Chee - Joins Adelaide via the PSD

He didn’t go into specifics, the question was whether the crows tried different deals. Sounded like there was one offer until an hour or so before close and it was rubbish as we know. Very little flexibility shown by the crows seemingly
F2 offer wasn't rubbish.

What's that got to do with the posters assumption that the F2 will be pick 35-40???? He made an assumption and so did I and that's the risk we've taken with offering him 5 ears which is a year too much IMO.
I’m commenting on you saying he’s only got a couple good years left. Total nonsense and you got his age wrong as well which didn’t help your cause.

This is just the type of scenario that people quote when they want clubs to have the power to trade players without their agreement.

The Crom have done Ah Chee dirty and their delusional supporters expect sweetheart deals like Dawson & Neal-Bullen every time a player wants to join.

Given Ah Chees manager fronted an Adelaide presser about this with Reid - it seems like nobody in the Ah Chee camp thinks we've done him dirty.

I need West Coast to do something with this otherwise I'm going to go insane on why the out of contract status and PSD is still a thing in 2025

The most likely answer is it isn't a threat that is usable for the team losing a player; it's a threat for the team gaining a player, should said player be willing to burn bridges at his former club.

Mind you, I am really curious what happens in the scenario that West Coast does, and Ah Chee appeals to be released from West Coast? That seems like some serious shenanigans.

Puffing the chest out over a 28 year old with a young family, who has just helped you win 2 flags is pathetic. But when you get everything delivered to you on a silver platter, you tend to lose perspective.

He will get to Adelaide, no need to get your nickers in a twist. You need to steel yourself man.

Hence we offered future picks... but hey nevermind, we get him for nothing.

I’ve got to level with you and let you in on something. But don’t tell anyone. We have a list into the future too.

We gave pick 14 for Dawson which clearly is consider unders right now but not then. ANB was pick 28 for a player who is nearly 30. I noticed you left out we gave pick 5 for Rankine.

This is great news. If the guy is managing more lions players he will know to ensure a satisfactory deal can be made in the future. He will also be very sceptical of any of his players moving to adelaide in the future.
Player managers will be put off watching Brisbane here going forward and no doubt advising their players accordingly

He's not exactly going to say "he's no longer going to join Adelaide" is he...

Plenty of time and money discussions to come before he potentially does make it to Adelaide in the PSD.

No, but there is a different set of wording if Ah Chee is open to resigning. Something along the lines of "we're going to take our time and consider all options" or something like non-committal that.

Coming out seconds after trade period saying "nope, no chance, we're PSD bound" is either rank amateurish or they're committed to it. It's most likely they're already committed to it, especially with Adelaide's list manager as well being present (which would have been coordinated prior).

PSD exists solely as a legal argument that the AFL system is not a RESTRAINT OF TRADE. It's a very theoretical protection from a court ruling against the draft etc if a player ever challenged it.

Definitely. Player managers will put us on a black list from this point forward.

Which is a shame because we've really struggled to attract players in recent years :(

Why? We have never as far as I can remember chased a player, offered them a lucrative contract, got them to quit their club and not got a trade done. Certainly not since Fagan arrived. This is on the crows make no mistake.

His manager is pissed because he’s commission has just gone out the window which it looks like he’d already spent.

Yes, he will still get it in time but it’s not like WCE or Port aren't a huge chance now. He’s got ex Lions at WCE in Starcevich and Robertson and also being from there and then Port has his Lions forward coach in familiar face Stewy Dew and family in SA and it’s not like either club wouldn’t have money to satisfy Ah Chee.

Of course Lions could have taken the Crows lousy offer but clearly not accepting unders and sending a message for future years was more valuable to the Lions.

It’s therefore laughable at the suggestion we’ll have egg on our face even if Ah Chee gets to the Crows via the PSD. I’d rather he stay at the Lions but that ain’t happening or gets to WCE or Port and if that happens, then that’s on the Crows.
Lol he ain't short of a dollar you do know NAS is another of his clients its going to be funny if any other Brisbane players are his clients .He will get his revenge one way or another
