The club would have been informing Cal all throughout the process. Cal won't be bothered.

, how would you feel if you requested to leave your job, and they decided to put you up for auction and had no idea where you were going to end up.I mean, you nuffies Brisbane posters are getting excited of West Coast or Port Power selecting him so.......Uncertain? Lol. He knows he will end up in Adelaide. His moron manager says he won't talk to any other team. No other team will take him because of that.
lol greedy is wanting a good player but offering a packet a chipsVery likely, but it's no 100% guarantee.
The Lions have rewarded a 2x premiership hero by giving him & his young family uncertainty as to where they will be living next... because they got greedy.

His managers comments suggest otherwise.
If it were perfect, the deal would have been done.lol greedy is wanting a good player but offering a packet a chips
f2 + pick slide is perfect for ah Chee
yeah Adelaide didnt want to pay for a good player, I dont really understand why all you Adelaide supporters are sooking, your getting him more than likely for free, should all be happyIf it were perfect, the deal would have been done.
Alas, it was greedy & deal fell through.
The facts speak for themselves.
His manager is a moron. If his manager said the world is square you nuffies would believe it.

and you are a clown .HIS manager just got NWM 4 mill over 2 yearsHis manager is a moron. If his manager said the world is square you nuffies would believe it.

It's only Lions supporters i see sooking because most thought you could bully your way to a 1st rounder for an uncontracted player or you would convince him to stay... lol, was never happening!yeah Adelaide didnt want to pay for a good player, I dont really understand why all you Adelaide supporters are sooking, your getting him more than likely for free, should all be happy
Don’t really care about the media narrative, optics are less important than what’s actually best for the club IMO.You’re right, which is why I’ve posted a few times that each party is looking out for their own interests, and that’s okay.
I’m arguing the following points:
1. Adelaide are unfair traders. No, Reid isn’t, he just knows what he’s willing to give up and stands his ground. He’s done a really effective job in the Nicks era and should be applauded. As a club, we lost more than our fair share of players from 2015-19 and no one stuck up for us, so I don’t see why we owe anyone any favours now.
2. Adelaide have screwed over Ah Chee. No, they haven’t, and I feel confident saying that because the majority of the AFL media have agreed that Adelaide’s offer was a pretty reasonable one, and Ah Chee’s manager has publicly criticised Brisbane, not Adelaide.
In fact, what’s happened, is Brisbane underpaid Ah Chee so they could get Allen and Draper. This led to Ah Chee finding a better offer elsewhere, then, after he decided to go to Adelaide, Brisbane negotiated for 10 days, only to decide that sending a message to the rest of the comp was more important than getting him to the club he chose. That’s arguably a poor way to treat a 2x premiership player of your club, but if that’s how they want to play it, I’m okay with it. Just don’t try to act like you care for his welfare.
that was his worth then, he played 1 game for Gold Coast in his last season, we basically picked him off the scrap heap and have turned him into a very good playerI’m simply suggesting that short of a statement from Ah Chee himself, the most reliable indicator of how Ah Chee feels is probably what his manager publicly says.
Is that why when Ah Chee was younger, you guys offered a future second and a future fourth for him?
So Adelaide offered a better deal than what Brisbane offered for a younger Ah Chee. But somehow Adelaide were the greedy ones according to you.
No one is greedy, everyone is looking out for themselves.
Brisbane thought Adelaide would blink, realise they weren’t, so decided sending a message was more important than the picks they were getting. There’s nothing wrong with that, it’s only that since Ah Chee expressed through his manager that they were disappointed with that, that Brisbane have tried to twist the narrative to Adelaide trading unfairly, which is simply not the case.
Its ah Chee's managers job to ensure that his client gets to where he wants OF COURSE he is going to say everything he didI’m simply suggesting that short of a statement from Ah Chee himself, the most reliable indicator of how Ah Chee feels is probably what his manager publicly says.

lol .. you peanut, you need to hop back in the bowlHis manager is a moron. If his manager said the world is square you nuffies would believe it.
Yes, he would have forced Brisbane to accept the F2 fair value. Its ah Chee's managers job to ensure that his client gets to where he wants OF COURSE he is going to say everything he did
If Paul Connors was ah Chee's manager I bet the deal gets done, Ben Williams has 0 leverage
Maybe or maybe got Adelaide to give a fair deal either way little Ben had 0 leverageYes, he would have forced Brisbane to accept the F2 fair value.
and you are a clown .HIS manager just got NWM 4 mill over 2 years

That’s actually not a good deal, his price I highly doubt is going to go up, he should of taken maximum money and maximum length contract, I have no idea why he chose to sign for just 2 yearsand you are a clown .HIS manager just got NWM 4 mill over 2 years
the best part of there argument is we should accept the trade because ah Chee is a good bloke not because Adelaide offered fair valueNo point arguing with this lot. They don't see reason. The Cows are sucking in Ben's farts treating him as a messiah when he failed at his job. To get Ah Chee to Adelaide in a trade.
Seems like the only people who think that the offer wasn't a fair deal is Brisbane supporters, hmm, makes you wonderthe best part of there argument is we should accept the trade because ah Chee is a good bloke not because Adelaide offered fair value
anyone want Logan Morris hes helped us win 2 premierships we will give him up for pick 40 as well
With regards to Ah Chee we got him for a bargain since he couldn’t get on the park with the GC (got him end of 2019). Can’t imagine he was on big money then but clearly he commands more now which we don’t have. Thats nothing more than the salary cap working as intended.
We lost Joe, Oscar, Starcevich in the last 2 off-seasons so it’s not like we had no cap space. Just not as much as other teams.
The annoying part for me is not losing these players (to be expected), it’s the fact they are deemed worthy of a long term deal and bigger money but somehow that equates to offering a low amount in a trade. As I’ve mentioned before I can’t ever remember us chasing a player and not being prepared to pay for them. Future 2nd is not a good deal.
yeah its not about the fact we have father sons, got a pick from west coast for Starc, have academies, got Dunkley in a trade and are back 2 back reigning premiersSeems like the only people who think that the offer wasn't a fair deal is Brisbane supporters, hmm, makes you wonder
