Disgusting how little Australia does to protect the Jewish community from hate and abuse.

If this sort of treatment was aimed at aboriginals or blacks that the Jewish receive, such as the disgusting hate speech, the violent acts such as assaulting Jews and burning down shops and synagogues, and even threatening them on campuses… the Australian human rights commission would be in overdrive with prosecutions left right and center and the police would be arresting.

When it’s Jews, it’s just play on nothing to see here.
Surely you jest? We currently have an antisemitism Special Envoy who is proposing measures up to and including removal of funding for tertiary institutions under the guise of protecting the Jewish community.

How good is bringing up Uyghurs.
Who cares what the conversation's even about.

"Jeez, did you hear about Chris? Someone broke into his ute last week, stole a bunch of tools he needed for his apprenticeship."

"YEAH WELL WHAT ABOUT THE ****ING UYGHURS MATE, WHY DIDN'T YOU CARE THIS MUCH WHEN CHINA DID A GENOCIDE?!?!?!"

:drunk::drunk::drunk:

Or why didn't you give a **** about the Genocide of Christians in the Middle East that's been going on for decades 🙂

Getting Chit to crunch the numbers it looks like it's been far more successful than anything in Palestine.

What students in Australia have been kicked out of university or high schools for anti semitism at protests? Which have all involved hatred towards Jews including violently confronting the Jewish students on campuses.

Show me the action the universities has done to kick these racist students out.

Is it reasonable to criticise someone for not engaging with every single humanitarian crisis on the planet?

As far as the genocide of Christians goes, it's almost universally condemned and there is regular military action against the Islamic State. But this is an ideological conflict. The Israel/Palestine conflict is about territory and land, so it makes sense that there would be protest action to put pressure on our government to do more. It's a political conflict.

Please show me evidence of antisemitism at high schools. You're talking absolute garbage.

Zionism is for the expansion of Israel and they've kept taking more and more land since the establishment of Israel in 1948. They will never stop taking land. That is a fact.

P.s. Jewish is not a race.

I mean they take land when attacked and winning and using the land as a buffer.

Maybe the rest of the middle east should stop attacking them. They always lose. They really dont learn.

Imagine if the rest of the middle east instead spent their money on free, non religious educations for boys and girls. They probably wouldnt have as many of their citizens cheering on the throwing of gay people off buildings or beating them with sticks or treating women like chattel.

Imagine if arabs outside of Israel even just had the same rights as arabs inside Israel.

Etc.

Also, still hoping to know if Hawka is pro Trump.

So nothing like the "raising money for the war" nonsense like some are insinuating.

It's for injured people.

Which last time I checked doesn't mean you support a conflict.
It's for injured IDF not 'people'. I wonder how many of these injured IDF murdered civilians? Best you stay off the meds.

Dumb comment that adds nothing.

Would you like to actually discuss which of the points are untrue??
Mate, it's all hasbara talking points. I've seen the same yawn-fest claims made time and again.

Jews were collectively victims 80 years ago. They aren't now, with a caveat. Some Jews still are, the ones that oppose Zionism, that is. Victims of being lumped into the same basket as those who perpetrate a violent settler colonialist state.

A state that attempts to speak for all Jews, by conflating antisemitism with anti-Zionism, and which silences the very Jews who oppose it (not in my name) by labelling them as self-hating or traitors. They're victims.

It's comical that you're going along with this ridiculous notion that Jews are still persecuted and talk of University campus experiences, conflating protests of campuses as being against Jewish people, rather than against their own universities by advocating for BDS.

You talk about Jews having had shops and synagogues burnt down? Who was responsible for that? Thr Australian government claimed that ASIO was presented with "credible evidence" that it was Iran. Oh, really? Where's the evidence?

Now, assuming that the IRGC was responsible for the attacks on the kosher shop and and anti-Zionist synagogue (the irony of targeting that one), this was a targeted attack by a foreign entity, and not something that you can claim as systematic targeting of Jews within mainstream society.

Even then, I don't believe for a second that the IRGC paid some local drop-kicks in Melbourne and Sydney to bungle these arson attacks. It's absurd to think Iran has anything to gain by doing it, because now the Iranian ambassador has been booted out of Australia.

ASIO is the same organisation that claimed, like good little sheep, that Saddam Hussein was harbouring weapons of mass destruction. Why would anyone believe anything that comes out of that organisation without credible evidence to back up their claims?

Let me end my post by saying that there is legitimate antisemitism in society, and unfortunately it's on the rise, and has been since October 7. It needs to be stamped out. However, it has to be treated as something seperate to anti-Zionist sentiment, as the two are different concepts.

Possibly the worst thing you could do, if you actually care about Jews, is believe the nonsense that Sky and Fox News, as well as any other Murdoch rag publishes. It's pure propaganda, and I've seen the exact talking points you've raised being sprouted time and again on those outlets.

How do you know they weren't injured in the October 7 attack?

Your brain only has one conclusion.

How do you know they aren't family members of these people?

So much we don't know.

So much you pretend you think you know.

Anti-Zionists are anti-Jews.

They just throw the word Zionist in there so they can try and get away with it.

It's why the only situation like this out of many in the world they are protesting about is the one the Jews are involved in.

Suspicious as all ****.

So, I'm an antisemite because I oppose Zionism? Mate, if that is what you genuinely believe, you are the problem.

The idea that this is antisemitism is absurd. He showed up at a synagogue for a Bar Mitzvah - don’t think the issue is the Judaism, it’s the raising money for a genocidal army.

Any defence force that is taking out Hamas is by definition, the good guys.

And if that was solely and specifically what they were doing, I dare say most people wouldn't have an issue with their actions.
