So do we get a new election or will they appoint an interim board member?
The club's statement in Josh Money's tweet says

The Club will advise in due course on the next steps for the members to elect a new Director at the next Annual General Meeting.

So I'd say yes we're voting for his replacement at the next AGM.

Well yea, look what's happened, there has been change.
Yeah Hinkley was always going at the end of last season when his contract was up and not a day before.
That was all done and dusted before Tredrea even got appointed.
It just fits the forum narrative that he slayed the Dragon.

Warren really has himself to blame for this. He has made some pretty ordinary choices on a number of issues.
As a member elected board member it does raise some concerns as to a lack of consultation with the stakeholders who actually voted for him.
Would vote for him a thousand times more just to **** with the campaigners in charge

These comments are ****ed lol. You cannot have a man who is constantly making headlines for refusing to pay fines, bizarre sovcit legal manoeuvres, and having a podcast which seeks to launder the reputation of society’s worst. Such a person does not belong on the board of any organisation which takes itself seriously. Unless they’re POTUS of course.
Yeah nah I agree , he's cooked..but they let him off for all that but as soon as he mentioned Israel that was it. That's what gets me lol

Very interesting that the Club made mention of the Corporations Act in its statement.

RussellEbertHandball correct me if I'm wrong but I was of the understanding that one can only make an official determination regarding compliance with the Act either via ASIC or a Court of Law.

Then again, the Club believe they are a law unto themselves.
They will be referencing the process for removing a Director, which is covered in the Act (pretty much a reference that says follow your constitution), rather than compliance which is more focused on bankruptcy, fraud etc.

What a moron. All he had to do was the bare minimum in regards to distancing himself from an idiot's comments and he couldn't even do that.
I guess he has more time now to dive deep into wacky conspiracy theories.
Why should he apologise for something someone else said? If only we could get rid of some of the other board members who've done sweet **** all in their time, maybe Koch interviewed someone on Sunrise who offended one of us, quick send a email in.

All it has done has proven that Koch and co think they own the club and us members have absolutely no say whatsoever anymore. We just expect to pay our money and be talked down to about how to run a club by a bunch of people who just quadrupled down on a loser that everyone on the outside could see. What a bunch of winners.

Yeah Hinkley was always going at the end of last season when his contract was up and not a day before.
In 2023, we had Chris Dittmar reporting that with Hinkley's last contract extension that Carr would take over as Coach at the end of 2025.

Maybe Tredders got us a forced succesion plan year, with them not being able to announce an extension if we had a strong 2025 and Ken wanted to go on.

I don't necessarily disagree with this, but I'm interested to know on what basis the club even has the power to remove a member elected board member?

First they came for the sovcit nutjobs, and I did not speak out, for I was not a sovcit nutjob ...

All our board members can be vetoed by the AFL.

So the simplest way would be for them to ask the AFL to veto him which I am sure they agreed to.

So he wouldn't apologise was the thing that finished him.

Dont recall anyone from the club ever apologising for the 13 years of shit we just endured....

Oh well. If he only did one thing, and it was ridding us of the stain we had at head coach, he did good.

Who apologised for co captains again?

I cant remember.

This is a good point.

Koch and Sunrise almost single-handedly reignited Pauline “I believe Australia is in danger of being swamped by Asians!” Hanson’s political career by giving her a paid platform every five minutes prior to the 2016 Fed Election.

Has he apologised for any hurt caused, etc?

Not a shred of evidence to back up any mythical claims.
Just like the mythical claims on this forum that Carr was taking over at the end of 2024
As I said then, was never going to happen, the club was always going to let Hinkley see his contract out.
Warren will always be one of our greatest players and hopefully that is what he will be remembered for
