Actually, the more i think about this, the less i like it. Not out of loyalty for Warren, but the reasons (at least to us) don't seem to warrant this response. We the members, voted for him and we need a much better justification than the crap offered atm. Sets a precedence, I don't like. 100% Warren was voted in as a response by members to show our dissatisfaction of the current board. So what did they do first chance
Totally agree Warren did nothing negative against the board or the PAFC. Koch cant just remove him because he doesn't like his politics. I hope Warren challenges this and makes as much noise as possible. The good thing is Hinkley is gone so hopefully the media will not be on the PAFC's side. Fingers crossed Warren is up for the battle and does better than he has in the past.

Despite the decision being an appalling reflection on Koch and the board, if Warren thought he had more work to do as a board member he would have just apologised. His work is done: Hinkley is gone.

Well, I won't back down
No, I won't back down
You could stand me up at the gates of Hell
But I won't back down

There ain't no easy way out (I won't back down)

Ahh yes. We can't help ourselves.
So much positivity around for the first time in a decade.

Then we shoot ourselves in the foot once more and torpedo all the good work.

Anyway, if Wazza had anything to do with the demise of the saviour of the club (aka King Ken) then he has my eternal gratitude ❤️
Tredrea is not the clubs saviour. He is a loon.
Yes he probably is a loon.

But by God I love him even more for rattling the cage of the risk averse, **** suckng sycophants inhabiting the Board right now.

We have viewed a path back to a potential position of power once more.

Go gett 'em on your podcast Warren. Purge the club of the anchors that are pulling us back down under.

And let's get some true old school Port mongrel in to replace the bulldog Tredders.
Don't parachute some other Yes man or woman into the position.
We need to have candidates that are Rottweilers - not yessiree David, all's right in the world (when it really isn't) brown nosing types.

Let's be sensible here. It's not like Warren just said something like "Israel need to stop bombing Gaza, killing children, and Netanyahu is a war criminal"... He gave a known holocaust denier a platform to sprout hate speech. Unchecked

If he refused to swallow his pride and apologise for it then fair enough
Yup, if he thought the guy was a bit of a dick, it’s easy to apologise. If he agrees with him it’s harder.

Looks like he’s leaning to the ‘agrees with him’.

Nah there was absolutely nothing anti semetic said. There was anti zionist comments and criticism of Mossad and the Israeli government. Total beat up.
Oh come on! Holocaust denial and saying the Jews orchestrated WW2 isn’t anti semitic?

I’m no fan of the Israeli state, but c’aaaaaaarn!

No the board has to prove he has breached the Corporations Act or not met several conditions listed in the Constitution.

It hasn't been proved he breached the Corporations Act by an independent body like ASIC or a court, and he hasn't breached the conditions listed in Clause 12.11 of the constitution.

What Koch and the board are saying is we reckon you have breached Section 180 and 181 of the Corporations Act, but if you apologise to us we will let it slide. if you don't we will dismiss you.

If Tredders has broken Section 180 and 181 of the Corporations Act then he should be kicked off, not have Koch say apologise to us and we will let it slide. What sort of governance is that?

You can't have it both ways.
Definitely makes sense, but it looks like at this point in time Tredrea is neither meekly apologising nor gearing up for unfair dismissal. Does he think he’s better to be outside the board rather than inside it, given what he’s learned about its internal machinations. Maybe to give the new coaches clear air, rather than find themselves embroiled in a potentially destructive internal dispute before they’ve even had a training session.

Having voted for Warren as a disruptor who we needed to shake things up and send a message, its probably now best for him to move on. He remains a powderkeg who likes to push to the edges of social norms and debate for his business interests. He is free to do that as a private person , but his association as a director will always end up drawing the club into his external stuff. As such best to part ways and remember him as the football champion he was.

But its fine for our chairman to be a colossal racist.

Tredders needs to come out and say “I was elected to the board to change things as a voice of the supporters. The supporters wanted Ken out. He’s out. Mission accomplished. Time for the next change agent to be voted onto the board to get rid of Koch, also as the supporters want,”

I hate Kockhead and his sheeple minions as much as the next Port fan, but you can not seriously accuse the club of screwing over Tredders when he invited the pressure on himself and continued to be unapologetic.

Everyone knows that company statements/formal apologies are empty emotionless pieces of writing. And Tredders could've easily agreed to just cooperate with writing a low effort apology with no meaning and still keep his job alongside his maga d!ck riding beliefs, but instead he was apparently so incapable of swallowing his pride that he couldn't even pretend to be sorry for a couple of sentences on a web page. And you still think that's the clubs fault? If anything they were extra lenient on him.

These last few pages have been a tough read. I feel like some people on here would defend Grigory Zass as long as he said he didn't like Ken Hinkley. At the end of the day, this is something that needed to happen eventually. I doubt he would've gotten revoted by the members again had he made it there.

I will continue to separate his magnificent on field career from his recent downward spiral. It's disappointing it came to this, but I still believe that the winds of change this off season are pointing us in the right direction and I don't see this as a step backwards. If anything the timing of this may compliment the club with the amount of chair shuffling we've already done.

He did indicate in his Insta that his main concern was for “Josh, Lauren and the entire AFL, AFLW and SANFL playing group … going forward”.

Probably a bit of that too.
