I see what you’re saying. To my ears, Koch’s statement on that occasion was just something he needed to say to justify not sacking him then and there based on his antics with the unfair dismissal trial.

In reality I don’t think it would truly be 100% about the podcast. If tredders didn’t already have form being a right wing nutjob, you could forgive a podcast host for not fully understand the language being used by one of their guests. But by that point we knew the world that Wazza was living in.

My point was more though that if you're going to back him publicly after those actions, it's a reach to reverse track thereafter and say that those actions which you ok'd actually contributed to his sacking.

Maybe the Club did indeed tell him to reel things in before the podcast? I doubt it given based on today's statement I suspect they would have included such information, but it's a possibility, I guess.

Regardless of what has happened, I am extremely uneasy with the idea of the AFL appointed directors of our Club being able to remove a member elected director on the basis of refusing to apologise for someone else's comments.

In 2014 when the club “gained control” of its AFL licence (moving away from the SANFL sub-licence agreement) a new constitution for our Club was written. It remains in effect.

While the Adelaide Crows used the rewriting of their licence agreement to include a mechanism for the election of board members to return to club control (on “the development grant completion date” in 2028, when they will have paid off their licence for the 2nd time, this time to the AFL) the predominantly SANFL appointed PAFC board at that time did not

When this missed opportunity was raised with the chairman David Koch at consecutive PAFC AGMs he claimed to not know of the clause. A lack of awareness also expressed by CEO Matthew Richardson.

In 2028 the crows' members will be able take ownership of their own club. Whether that actually happens is something to wait for. Personally I wouldn't trust the likes of a self interested career politician like John Olsen to hand over power to the unwashed public without a shit storm of protests. But the fact remains that no such opportunity exists for us.

Unlike the Adelaide Football Club there is no existing pathway for us to revert to member control.

The existing pathway is the same as every other pathway for the masses to take power from the people who hold it. We leverage people power into making it happen.

The Crows constitution doesn't guarantee them member control in 2028 either, it's just no longer under AFL control. I believe if no noise is made, we'll just see the Crows board become effectively in charge of itself. Supporters will have to campaign for control unless the current board decided to be incredibly charitable.

Our most obvious path to success in this is that Adelaide supporters run a campaign and do in fact gain full member control. Then they turn to us and bully us incessantly about how they're a real club and we're an AFL controlled franchise. Then the public shame going against our main point of difference as a club makes our board act.

I'd argue that the second most obvious path is trying to make this the "gift" that the current board give to the members on their departure. They've "saved" the club and got us into a good financial position after the SANFL bled us dry, and now they're handing us back to the members. Tell Koch it would secure a positive legacy for him here. Whatever he needs to hear.

Tredrea before he went public with his full blown sovcit insanity would have been the perfect face for the Port campaign. Now we don't really have one. Maybe Fiacchi? Ginever? In any case, Tredrea not being able to keep his dumb mouth shut has put up a significant roadblock in our quest for member control. Now, the last person we voted in was a sovcit antivax lunatic who had to be removed. Port members can't be trusted to vote in quality candidates etc etc etc. He's 100% hurt the people who voted for him by not being able to behave. It sucks. He's my greatest sporting hero but he's made life more difficult for us long term.

Warren elected to make his views very public, and unfortunately they're unpalatable to the general public.

He wouldn't have been re-elected next year. No chance. Too many people, people who voted for him last time, think he's insane or at least brings the club into disrepute.

Which is a shame because I think he's 100% how Port Adelaide should be when it comes to his footy philosophy, and we could really use him on the board longer term.

- Exactly my thoughts to a tee. This post is what I fear is another AFL member-elect director appointed by Koch and Co who doesn't have Port Adelaide's best interests at heart.

I feel, especially when the board makes decisions, that getting a member-elected board is even more of a fairytale fantasy that we will never achieve.

If anyone's interested in the actual truth of what was said, as opposed to just hearing talking points from the media, I made this summary. I listened to the whole thing because I absolutely despise racism/anti-semetism and wanted to investigate whether Waz had shown any:

Tredders chips in here (so far its just been a 43 minute monologue) - talking about how Albo shouldn't have gotten in because he is destroying Australia with immigration, unemployment and house prices. Ponders whether this is also to wake Australia up (good on Albo for his service if so).

-He seemed to get a lot crazier and discombobulated here - perhaps excited by Tredders showing him some encouragement. The post war times is about destroying the monarchy and break "new earth". Currently all politicians in the UK are child traffickers.
-49 mins in to the podcast we get to Israel. Its a fake state that was created by the same Zionists that were controlling WW2. Its expanded to control the waters because of the highly energetic ley line that runs from Ireland to Palestine. The genocide is a ritual conducted on this ley line.
-Mossad which is part of 5 eyes was part of 9/11 and created ISIS with Barack Obama. They created the enemy to carry out their agendas, like destroying ancient sites and the powers they had in Syria, or pushing mass immigration in to Sweden.
-Israel has destroyed Gaza, he supports Trumps plan to build a new earth for the highly spiritual Palestinians who have known nothing but destruction and famine because of Israel (which is controlled by the Crown).

Starts giving a list of things happen which show we are close to the end of some sort of chess game and Tredders pipes in with "P Diddy" and a big smile. I'm not sure what this meant. I don't think either of them knew either.

-Talks about the Epstein files - explains its a big job as many innocent people went on the planes. Child traffickers have a worldwide system of tunnels that go from army bases to Buckingham Palace. People need to give them time to take down these networks.

Tredders chips in again here to explain that in Australia when we go to the pub we have a parmy or a parma which is different to in England where they go to the pub to eat Bangers and Mash - this is the life of distraction. Somehow contextually this feels more insane than anything Roberts has said up until this point. He continues to talk about trigger points - the two things that can disrupt a family are health and money and currency devaluation.

-Has been watching the Iraqi Dinar go live. Goes in to how tokens are going to part of a new quantum financial system. Seems to start promoting a crypto here called Stellar with XRP tokens.
-Strawman "birth certificate" funds will be collapsed - this is why Trump did an executive order on paper straws (code), and announced it in a video that was 44 seconds long; when you look at Q post 44 its something about twitter??
-HSBC is hacking other banks because they are secretly in the same crypto scheme as advertised above.
-The stock market is a laundering system to make the rich richer (wait...)

That was a wild ride. Not one single thing he said was anti-semitic or could have been construed as such. In fact I don't think he actually mentioned the word Jewish at all. Israel takes up probably ~3 minutes out of a 70 minute podcast, and its in the context of it being a created state to push constant war. If anyone is going to accuse Waz of anti-semitism I'd recommend they actually listen to the interview rather than just read the summary of some biased MSM fake news outlet pushing an agenda they've been fed.

Saying they expect him to apologise for someone else’s comments is downplaying it though. We know what his “ballsy” podcast is (or was?). Wazza calling it “challenging conversations” was ultimately dishonest. The formula was:

1. Have some loon on the pod
2. Sit there nodding and agreeing the whole time while they rant
3. Take clips of their dialogue and repost it on Instagram

The sticking point is 2 and 3. It’s not like when the ABC had Blair Cottrell on one of their programs and spent the whole time challenging his views. Wazza’s platform was a deliberate promotion and endorsement of his guests’ views. And in wazza’s wisdom he decided to promote the views of someone who seems to be some sort of closet Nazi.
